Jensen Portable AM/FM Radio, Black, MR-550-BK

Jensen portable AM/FM Radio is of a good quality and is as described. I really like the look and size, it fits perfectly on my bathroom shelf. I LOVE this little radio. I wanted something for my kitchen that wasn't bulky and that wouldn't take up too much counter space. I've had an undermount radio/CD player in my kitchen in the past that I liked for the counter space saving feature....but I had to drill holes into the bottom of my cabinets to mount it. This is very small...slightly over 7"W x 5"H (without the handle or antenna up). I agree with the other reviews that this radio has very good clear sound. I've played it daily since I received it. It reminds me of look of the old transistor radios, retro! It's perfect for music in my kitchen without hogging counter space.

bought this for my elderly, vision impaired mom. She is able to use it quite independently. sound is wonderful!

I live in a valley where reception is poor at best. This radio's receiver picks up every station with no static and no fading in and out, even in the basement of our house.. Even far away stations are very clear.

Exactly what I was looking for. I wanted a small portable radio to take to the garage and porch and keep listening (mainly to talk radio) while I moved around. Works great.

We have been without a radio for some time. So when we bought this little radio and started listening to the Christmas songs, my husband commented, "I had forgot how good it was to have a radio."

Bought this to listen to local radio stations during weather related power outages which we frequently have here in NC. Sound is good, not tinny, and it is compact. Having ac/dc capablity is a plus.

This radio works very well, the controls are simple and easy to use. The sound is o.k. for the price. It uses little space and the handle on top is convenient. A good value/

Well, you get what you pay for, I guess. It sounds very tinny - which I guess all small radios do. I have to turn up pretty loud to even make out what song is playing. I bought mainly to cover my tinnitus during the day and it helps somewhat with that

Straight outta the box no sound whatsoever. I tried using the batteries instead of the power cord but nothing. Totally defective truly disappointed. I would of reordered it but upon returning it at my not so close Walmart the only option I had was to reorder it back at home & incur a shipping fee since I was now not meeting the minimum for free shipping. Bummer!
