Jesus Christ Superstar: Live in Concert (DVD), Masterworks, Music & Performance

This was fantastic on TV!! I was so happy to see it again! When I heard it was going to be available in DVD I had to get it, and the price was perfect. Honestly, would have spent more but I didn't have to. The original was done in the 70's and they really kept true with it. If you watched either the original or this - they are EQUALLY just as great! You don't need to be church-going to to watch a Really great story. I really was happy to see it available at Walmart because I knew that it would arrive from them and not somebody I don't know from the internet claiming it to be legit....

Saw this on PBS Great Performances. Had it saved on my dvr, but due to moving it was no longer available. John Legend was marvelous as Jesus and Alice Cooper top notch. If you like Andrew Lloyd Webber and just broadway musicals you'll love this. Delivered right on time as promised.

This musical is a nice alternative to the original movie. It was difficult to find this on DVD! It's a keeper!

Absolutely fantastic show!! Love John Legend as Jesus. The rest of the cast is outstanding. Their voices and dancing is amazing!!

This was such a great show and when I saw that it finally came out on DVD I was excited to get it. That excitement was ruined by the quality of this DVD. The sound volume is all over the place, it's like someone is turning it down just as the music and crowd volume peaks and the video quality is also sub-par. Did anyone at NBC or Sony actually preview this before it was sold?

I can't rate the quality, because it did not arrive on time, and I do not know if or when it will.
