All in all, the mic is great. hands down best quality for the price

This little mic is incredibly easy to use, though setting up the stand can require some finagling, as the rubber stopper is a very tight fit. The mic worked as soon as I plugged it in to my Chromebook, and picked up audio quite well. It couldn't filter out noise from a fan when nearby, but still recorded clear vocals over it. The headphone jack worked perfectly, and had no issues transmitting to my headphones.
I got this GO Talk USB Microphone for my mother in law because she does short podcasts for her church. The previous setup in the form of a webcam/mic combo would not perform great. It really didn't give her the visual direction of where to speak as she is older and not used to speaking into a tiny camera. This mic gave her the visual direction she needed to speak with great sound quality during recordings. I like the positional stand and easy to control features readily available on the mic. She can place it wherever it suits her best at the table. One thing I do wish it had was an extendable stand. I imagine there are options for this out there. All in all it is a nice little product and adds a bit of professional recording atmosphere which makes her happy.
I finally got this GO Talk Microphone to work. It took me over an hour to figure it out by trial and error. The insert instructions are horrible, they are completely pointless. Now with that said - this GO Talk Microphone is very well made. The stand is extremely sturdy. Connecting the recorder to the stand is very simple. The voice recording itself is very crisp, very clear, just a great sound upon playback. I recorded close up and I recorded further back - both recordings my voice was picked up and the playback sound was excellent. This is actually an great microphone.
Everything is wonderful about the product. My only criticism would be the rubber attachment to secure the microphone to the stand. It doesn't fit very well, so the microphone isn't terribly secure.
Relatively small size. Can be used on your desk or on a Microphone boom. Sturdy stand. Looks nice, looks well built. light weight. Audio quality is acceptable for meetings, gaming, in environments with low background noise. Picks up background noise, so it is not for an office environment. You will have to pay a lot more $200+ for a mic that does not pickup background noise, or use a headset with a wand mic. There is a small amount of hissing (white noise) coming through when you talk into Windows and it plays your voice back for you to hear. Cardioid vs non Cardioid setting , not much difference between the two settings. Audio equipment is highly price sensitive, in other words you get what you pay for. At this price point this Mic is OK but not quite as good as Sanson Meteor Mic.
Overall it presents itself well, but can be a little spotty in performance. I am using it for a foreign language study, and sometimes I have to repeat the sentence as many as 12 times. Of course it might be just my pronunciation of the French, but it seems odd to me that all of a sudden it starts understanding me just fine but I am not pronouncing anything better or differently. I'm not interested in sending it back or buying a different one, but sometimes it bugs me. A better explanation of things like how close it should be when speaking, and what "gain" is used for, and that sort of thing.
I tried this mike, and it has a professional look and build, sadly the auto quality from this microphone, compared to a lavalier mic, was significantly worse. My voice came out clear, but it picked up ambient sounds of the distant soft sound of air conditioning, while other mics pic up my voice without any background noise at all. Probably best used in a truly soundproof silent space, like a sound booth at a studio.
Presently not using PC for communication. May work extremely well for that but not for use on phone, or at least could find no instructions on how t use. Wish it was Bluetooth.
