Josh's Frogs False Bottom - LECA (4 Quarts)

This is my first bioactive and honestly, it was so easy to use this product bc even with everything on it, my viv is still really light. I thought the hydroballs/leca would weigh it down but it's still super light. The only thing is to remember to wash it because they are SUPER dusty.

This stuff is great it's so light which is great for larger terrariums. In retrospect I wish I would have put a bulk head on my terrarium before setting up my bioactive. The irregular shape helps with holding the caping you want in your terrarium, and it's far to big to be sucked up in most any pump you might have for a paludarium or the likes. Definitely will continue using this in all my enclosures to come.

Much lighter than other bottom layers I have worked with. Soaked up the water when there’s too much and released it overtime to keep the terrariums moist. You don’t need much at the bottom either which is great!

They function quite well as the drainage layer of my terrarium, I almost wish I'd left some out though to use for when I need a drainage layer in pots, etc.

This false bottom has been pretty great. It is doing exactly what it is supposed to. Make sure to rinse the balls before using, as they are dusty. Overall, a great product.

This Leca is wonderful, although it was a bit of a pain to rinse off, it was worth it in the end. 2 bags fit perfectly in my 18 x 18 x 24 exo terra just like it was suggested.

Great at retaining water, super lightweight, and has a more natural look than the other false bottom "rock" that Josh's used to provide (which was also a great prodcuct)

Good quality item, fast shipping, but more expensive than other brands.

Clay balls for drainage. They do what they are supposed to. They stand out in the bottom of the tank and sort of ruin the naturalist aesthetic of it because they are too uniform and produced looking.
