Josh's Frogs BioBedding Tropical Bioactive Substrate (4 Quarts)

So I was on the fence between this substrate and the very popular ABG mix. I took a gamble and ordered the bio bedding because I'm making a tropical terrarium for a crested gecko and it was better than I expected! Looks like an actual forest floor, and retains moisture but has orchid bark, moss, and sand mixed in to prevent compaction. I did put a drainage layer to be on the safe side. My plants are growing and I'm just so happy. Will definitely be my go to substrate!

SO far I have been very happy with this substrate, I was excited to find something that mostly can 'stand alone' in a bioactive setup, and it has made my experiment so far to go that much easier and smoother.

This substrate is amazing. It's the only substrate you'll ever need. I have no idea what's in it but it feels and smells amazing. My vivarium is thriving with it.

After a few months of settling in, using BioBedding for my day geckos has done wonders! The isopods and springtails both do well, and plants do well on it as well.

This stuff is so much better than the coconut fiber. It actually grows plants, doesn’t get water logged (even without a drainage layer), and lasts a long time. A really great product.

After countless hours of research and many online reviews this was by far the best mix for my first ever bioactive set up for my crested.

This is a great substrate, my isopods and springtails seem to love it and upkeep a good microenvironment for them to thrive.

I prefer this to any other biobedding. My plants love it. It retains water well and keeps the humidity at a good level.

I love this substrate so much made my life going to Bioactive so much easier plus the animals love it. Definitely recommend getting some.
