Joy-Con™ 2 Wheel (set of 2)

The wheels are a simple piece of round plastic with shoulder buttons and a magnet to hold the Joy-Con 2 in place. The wheels were smaller than expected but feel great when held in-hand. Definitely an upgrade to the Joy-Con 2 grip size for larger handed users who want to utilize the gyro steering option comfortably.

These were smaller than I was expecting but they do the job with zero issues.

At first I was disappointed at its size. I have big hands and it seemed like a child’s toy compared to a wheel and pedal. Don’t let its small size fool you though, thats actually its strength in my opinion. Because you fit the joycon into it, you can use the joystick on it at the same time you turn the wheel with motion. Joystick for micro movements, and motion for macro movements. Having two different methods of controlling drift as well is supreme. With smart steering off, as bowser, I have never had tighter drifts on DK pass before. The snowy last lap of one of the knockout tours. I do have to hold it awkwardly because of my big hands, but I make it work!

This doesnt add much to the gaming experience. It's just something to hold onto that's bigger than the joycons themselves. They use tilt control, so turing the wheel like a wheel does nothing, you have to tilt it on the other axis. A bit counterintuitive.

Loved the idea of a steering wheel but also realized that perhaps not the greatest option. Still have to hold the acceleration button down while also holding the wheel so not as ergonomic as I thought. Perhaps nintendo could also add a pedal option???

I bought a set of controllers instead. Another item returned.
