KastKing 4000 Spinning Reels, 17.5Lbs,5.2:1 -Centron Lite-White

Love this colorway. The reel itself looks more expensive than it is. It looks high quality. It's smooth and drag works good. I'm excited to use it and see how durable it is. Great value if you can get it on sale. I don't recommend everything from KastKing but this one is a winner. Highly recommended.

absolutely a great spinning reel, handles 1/4oz up to 1oz baits very well, i had previously purchased the smaller version and it worked so well, i had to get the next size up, will be purchasing a 3000 series next

I ordered this reel and received it quickly. Appears to be a quality product at a very good price I haven't caught anything to really test the drag but I haven't had any problems at all with the purchase.

The real is quite nice very smooth seems to be of decent quality. I don't like the plastic material that was used on the fishing reel hand grip it's pretty small and the soft plastic is giving off a terrible petrol smell that penetrates onto your fingers. My fix was to just put some good clothe tape around it. But the manufacture should fix this issue and use hard plastic or silicone handle, a foam or cork handle would be very nice. For this reason, I won't be purchasing this reel again.

The only reason I chose this reel is because it was this color and a micro to replace a reel on a children's rod. The reel is alright, but any number of bargain spinning reels would have been sufficient other than the color. KastKing could be a decent brand if the company stood by its warranty and did not lie about the warranty. Their warranty for reels is 1 year, their sunglasses 1 year, and their rods, limited lifetime. The only problem, that's only if you buy directly from their website. If you buy from Walmart.com, Amazon.com, or eBay, the rod warranty supposedly drops down to 1 year, unless you write a nasty email about the warranty not stating any of the lie they try to use to get out of honoring it. Then, once you get past that lie, they want you to jump through more hoops, as if you really want the garbage repaired or replaced with another one just like it. Every item, bag, reel, or rod, has had an issue, a break, or a rip. And that's on the 1st use. If you want Average Joe fishing gear, avoid this train wreck of a company and its products. Kast King does not stand behind its products.
