I bought this for my 92 year old father to help him get out of bed after back and abdominal surgery. Which he absolutely loved! I put it together, but needed help with the strap to anchor to the other side of the bed, because the mattress was so heavy. Though you don’t need the strap to actually use the device. It’s very sturdy, but I wanted the extra stability because of the two surgeries in one week. Happy to say he’s doing great and driving his truck again! Don’t worry he just passed his driving test again!

love it, sturdy easy to put together, great looking .Only thing I dislike is the light. Older seniors need a push button instead of a small slide switch that is hard to find and have to use fingernail to turn on.. Other than that I recommend it highly

I got this bed assist rail because I was having back surgery and could not twist or bend excessively for the first 6 wks post-op. However, I am still using it and will not be removing it due to the handiness of it. I like the small mesh bag on the outside of the handle and I added a cup holder so my water bottle was closer to me.

This is exactly what I needed! I am a side sleeper and with my hip trouble, turning on my side in my bed is very difficult unless I have something to grab onto. The bonus is it has a pocket in which to put my glasses and a night light to help me get in bed after I turn off the overhead light.

The bed rail is sturdy and has good support. Could not get the holes to line up so I had to drill a new one for the extra support. It is doing the job to get my son up and to sit in the bed.

Everything is great and helpful, but I purchased 2 and neither has a light. I purchased these specific rails for my 86 year old father because they were supposed to have lights. very disappointing.

Seems to be an OK item, once you get past the daunting task of trying to align parts that seem to defy alignment and deal with fragile screws that needed to be replaced. There were parts missing that should have been there and a couple of mystery parts that seemed to have no purpose. And the instructions were very poorly done. Shouldn't have been this hard, and some pre-assembly would probably have been possible, but in the interest of compact (and, of course, cheaper) packaging and shipping, this was not done.
