Worked exactly as expected. As full time RVers we usually head south to avoid the extreme cold weather, but apparently it just keeps following us from Montana to Texas. Our winter campsite has an exposed and uninsulated 3' standpipe. The recent cold snap froze and broke a number of water supplies in this campground, but ours remained intact.

The cord is effective at keeping the water in my sand well pump from freezing, making it possible to water my farm animals. Temperatures dropped into the negative and with this cord and a little insulation I have had no freezing, the pump works great in the dead of winter with this cord. Well worth the money!

Had one already on the pipe, but didn't know that when the kitchen was redone the plumber took it off and didn't replace it. My home is from the ‘20s and yes I have that one pipe that just loves to give me a headache but not with this it really works. During the summer I just unplug it till winter again. Recommend highly as a single homeowner.

This product is exactly what I needed to protect the HVAC discharge hose from the freezing temperatures outside of the house's crawlspace. It arrived quickly, was easy to install, reasonably priced, and most of all gives me peace of mind during the freezing temps.

I got this to replace an older heat tape that had gone bad. This one works so far, and it was the right price. It was easy to install on my pipes with some high heat capable tape, and then insulation put over top. I have pvc and pex pipes, and this seems to do well on both.

My pipes froze during the recent snow storm, and after I bought and installed this starting where my pipes came out of the ground, they were completely thawed within a couple hours!! Saved them from bursting.

the picture it shows is not correct. they do not work on sewer pipe so avoid that or be like me and have to buy a different one

Plumber recommended we use a pipe heating cable to hedge our bet against the lawn sprinkler backflow preventer, which is located in our garage, freezing up on extremely cold days. We have had problems with it in the past so... we have high hopes this will resolve the threat of frozen pipes and water damage.
