I've been using this product for the last 20 years, I won't use anything else. It's perfect. It's just getting harder to find the 2-20 pound bag deals for cheap anymore..
The argument can be made that everything on Earth is "natural". So I would like to know what the ingredients are in your Original Charcoal that is not wood? I cook with this stuff and have enjoyed it immensely. That being said, it is in my food and I believe we should be informed as to what we are eating. Thank you
I am a Long time users of KIngsford Charcoal. This season I bought a 2x20 lb package as we usually do. I find the new coals don't last as long. The old briquet was larger than the new ones. We have also found they don't last as long. Please go to the old tried and true.back
Have any of the experts in your packaging, design, marketing or sales departments attempted to successfully open a bag of your briquets, using the instructions on the bag "Open From End On Front"? I have tried many times over several years and this method failed, CONSISTENTLY!!! I would include an image but your system did NOT allow.
Been grilling for 30 plus years, used to buy your product with out question, as it was the best. Not any more. The briquettes light about the same, but burn out way to fast. I know the reason for this is to make the consumer use and buy more charcoal. I have been using lump charcoal from Smart & Final and it works great. More heart and a much longer burn time. Maybe if others follow suit Kingsford will put quality back into their brand instead of just money in their pockets.
I have cooked indirect- chicken, ribs ,etc using Kingsford briquets for many yrs always with great results until recently when it became obvious that all the "new "briquet products have been redesigned and that they ash up and burn out quickly requiring me to add more briquets to complete my normal cooking cycle. I have now found another brand briquet that performs like the good old Kingsford so I'll go with that until Kingsford (The Netflix of the BBQ world) responds with a useable product.
I have been using Kingsford for 30 plus years but I am looking for another brand. The bag size has been reduced as well as the briquette size. And to top it off the briquettes don't burn as long nor as hot! I use to buy 20# bags for a reasonable price but now they only come in 16.6# bags and the product is inferior. Sorry guys but like the "new Coke formula", you've got to return to what got you to the top. I'll return when you do. Thanks for the memories.
The new version sucks. Go back to the true original version if you want my business. New version burns way to fast and it doesn't smell good and the taste of meat is off. I always got Kingsford for grilling but no more. Now I got to go. Time to finish cooking my steaks on the George Forman
I will never use this charcoal ever again it is too thin upon using it I added extra to the grill but as I started cooking that wasn't even enough. I would definitely not recommend this product ever again and I will no longer use Kingsford ever again.
This is the first time I have used these in years. They burn out way too fast and they don't burn hot. THe whole point of charcoal is that it is supposed to burn hotter than gas. As soon as I take the Kingsford out of the charcoal starter, I can barely get the grill to 300 degrees. It's been the same thing over and over
