I really enjoy this brand as it keeps track of the readings in an app and you can had multiple children/people listed. Makes it easier to communicate with providers on when/what temps were during a sickness.
Worked great. Reading not all over the place like a different one we bought
Easy to use. App is a great way to keep up with past temps
super easy to use and stores history in app so you can share with the doctor
With a family of 6, it is so helpful to use and track temperatures on the app. Love the timeline features, local health information, and quick speed in taking temperatures with the thermometer. Provides personalized suggestions on how to treat symptoms, temperatures, based on age of family member. Will definitely use this as my primary thermometer moving forward. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this thermometer.
I received this product through the Stellar Product Testing Panel, and have been very impressed! I love the connection between the thermometer and the app. The thermometer takes readings very accurately and quickly, and I love that the app tracks all the readings for me, with timestamps so I can see when fevers spiked and how long it has been since an elevated temp. The app also tells me how severe the fever is based on my baby's age, lets me track meds, and tells me how high a risk level our city is for various illnesses. It's an incredible tool and I'm so glad we have it, especially since we seem to be getting daycare illnesses weekly this year! I'll be recommending this to all my friends.
I have liked the Kinsa thermometer for the most part. I like that it is quick to show results and I love the app that goes with it. The app has features that are absolutely fantastic. We labeled each person in our family with a name and a fun picture. The app tracks the date and time every time a temperature is taken and you can assign it to an individual. It can also log things such as when medications were taken, symptoms, and diagnosis–which is really handy when you have four small children each experiencing different things at different times and then the doctor asks you when a certain symptom started with a specific child. After taking someone's temperature, the app asks if there are any symptoms, and then will sometimes ask follow up questions. It will then show guidance such as, “Home Care”, “Call Dr.”, “Call Dr. Now” or “ER”. I find this feature incredibly helpful, because I can never remember the guidelines for little kids of different ages and at what point a temperature is worrisome. My two-year-old son has been sick all week with a fever, runny nose and cough. We have taken his temperature several times and have gotten helpful tips, especially considering it is RSV season and coughs can be scary. When tracking his fever today, I indicated a symptom was coughing. On the guidance screen there was information about how a barky cough can be managed at home, but if it gets wheezy or raspy it would be best to call our pediatrician or seek medical attention. I love the peace of mind that this brings when trying to help a sick child. On the same guidance screen there is a helpful tab with what to watch for with sick toddlers. This has been very helpful. Though I think the app is absolutely genius and helpful, I did have some issues with the product itself. Sometimes the app would not load when I tried to open it. The temperature doesn’t seem super accurate. When comparing it to a traditional oral thermometer, this thermometer often ran higher than the oral reading when we were feeling well and often lower than the oral reading when there was a fever. A handful of times when turning the thermometer on, the screen would light up, but nothing would happen. We would have to wait for it to shut down to try turning it on again before being able to take a temperature. Thanks to the Stellar Product Testing Panel for providing me with this thermometer.
I could never figure this out. I always have to do two temperature readings to ensure I was getting an accurate reading. I do love the app though. It made reminders and tracking a lot easier.
Mine goes through batteries as if it is on all the time. It also just won't read much of the time. Might have a defective one, but can't take it back at this point and not trying this brand again
Did not last long at all. I had it for a month and it stopped working.
