This item was purchased as a birthday gift for a 7 year old boy. He is having lot's of fun & learning at the same time.

This science kit is a gift.

Wonderful for interacting between parents and children.

My 8 year old just started getting really interested in science so this was perfect for him. the only thing is you definitely have to put a few hours aside to help them do this experiment and some items you have to buy to complete these projects. but if your little one is mad about science this is a good set and it's inexpensive for the amount experiments you get to perform.

I wish we'd heard of this series long ago; we would have done many more with our son. I purchased this set as a Christmas present for a nephew, so I can't give a detailed review. But I've been satisfied with these experiment kits in the past.

So when I purchased this I was under the impression that the kit would include EVERYTHING needed to preform these experiments with my kiddos. It does not. Actually, for the Tornado set you have to gather together quite a few items most of which I wouldn't consider typical household items. So, when having very impatient young kids that want to do the experiments but you've got to go buy the items needed, it makes for a miserable time. I probably would've went a different route if I had known ahead of time how much other stuff I'd need to gather together for myself to make most of these experiments come together.
