great kit
Has a lot of neat science gear for the budding scientist. Great value for what you get

Great Experiments
Our oldest great niece has started some of the experiments. There are over 60 experiments in in the box. All you need are contents of the box and some household items. She finds doing the experiments fun. She's experiencing science herself and not just watching. Good quality. A must have for any kid interested in science experiments.

Just ok
Although this set does have a lot of neat experiments, it does not come with any of the ingredients that you need to do the experiments. It has tools, a book, and just a few single items for some of the experiments. I got this for my 8 year old for Christmas but she couldn't do anything with it because we didn't have the needed ingredients on hand. Many of the things you need are not every day household items.

save your money
Just Google kids science experiments and save your money. Only need a few household items costing a few dollars to do all of what this kit has... Some baking soda, sand, piece of string & a paperclip. Basically a book with a few decent "tricks". Not worth $20 at all.
