KitchenAid® 3.5 Quart 1-Piece Pouring Shield (KSM35PS)

I own 3 Kitchen Aid mixers and personally find the pouring shields to be an asset. This addition makes adding ingredients during the mixing process so much easier and less messy. The shield is also easy to put in place over the bowl and remove. I've never had an issue with the shield falling in the bowl. It is important to note that if ordering for your mixer you ensure you order the correct size. The item is also dishwasher safe...always a plus for me.

I'm surprised to see such negative reviews. I thought the shield worked great. Yes it sits on top but that makes it easier to remove when needed. My 10 year old used the mixer with shield and had no issues adding her ingredients. I certainly preferred having the shield on. It is a plastic material so I do feel you need to be careful not to drop it as it may crack but all in all glad we have it.

Poor design I was so excited to receive my Kitchenaide Mixer for Christmas along with the shield, however, was very disappointed when I tried to use it. It did not fit on the bowl good and even though the mixer was on the lowest speed (which seemed too fast), the shield did not keep the ingredients from flowing over the bowl.

I purchased this because I do a lot of baking and sometimes the flour comes out of the bowl. The pouring shield doesn't even sit right on the bowl, so flour comes out the sides and top! I actually threw mine away because it wasn't worth having it around. I love Kitchenaid products but this one was awful!

Just bought an Artisan 5-quart KitchenAid -- my second KitchenAid and I love it! However, the Pouring Shield barely fits the bowl and it's flimsy. Not what I expect from this iconic brand. Fortunately, I still have the harder plastic one that came with my older model. It fits perfectly! Probably should think about reworking this attachment!

I received this shield with the Kitchenaide Mixer for my Birthday. I have not been able to figure out why Kitchenaide calls this a pouring shield when it just sites on top of the bowl. It should fasten to the bowl..Also, the shield does not keep the ingredients from flowing over the sides of the bowl. This is a terrible design. I wish you would have a better solution.

This Pouring shield is awful (it came with the mixer). It just sits on top unsecured and constantly falls in. The shield does not block ingredients from blowing out all over the place. Terrible mess to clean up every time I use it. There a long wide slit opening under the spout and the back is not blocked at all. This is a nightmare to use. Who in the world designed this. If i could put zero stars, I would but you must put one.

I received this with my blender as a long awaited Christmas gift. I was so excited and happy that it came as an extra part. But using it is pointless. I thought it was me, using it incorrectly, but after several more uses and adjustments I realize it's just poorly designed. Doesn't fit right. Doesn't stay in place. Doesn't contain the flour, even on low settings. I almost prefer my hand mixer cuz at least with it there's no flour dust everywhere. Very disappointed

I bought this a month ago in preparation for a LOT of baking in December. It said it would fit my size 5 bowl but it did not. It did fit the smaller bowl that came with my mixer, but did not fit well. I expected much better quality for Kitchen Aid products. It does not sit well in the bowl and falls off easily. I have a very limited space to cook in and I don't have room or time to keep holding it with one hand while trying to pour with the other. Am really disappointed and would not recommend at all. Wish I knew how to return it.
