KitchenAid Citrus Juicer

This is such a handy attachment. It saves so much time squeezing the lemons and oranges. I make a lot of fresh lemonade and lemon cake so this attachment was needed badly. I love my kitchen aid appliance and the attachments I own!

So far I have juiced oranges and limes. The device juices both very well (big & small) with little mess run by the authoritative KitchenAid stand mixer motor. As a tall person I really appreciate operating an appliance where I do not have to bend over to operate it. With this device I can stand tall and avoid back pain. The machine did not hesitate while dealing with a bag of oranges that produced a little over 1.5L of juice. Best juicer I have used.

I have been using this product for some time now and find its functionality is pretty good. One or two comments though. Firstly, and it may well be the way I use it, it does work out the shoulder muscles :-). Secondly, the strainer bit is OK provided you are only juicing 1 or 2 pieces of fruit. But when I juice a couple of buckets of lemons it is way too inadequate. I found a simple solution is to put a sieve over the top of the mixing bowl in which the juice is collected and 'hey presto', works brilliantly. Like one other reviewer, I have noticed the oil/grease issue but it has not got into the juice requiring the juice to be discarded. If this one ever breaks I will buy another.

The citrus juicer is a much faster way to juice fruit. It is easy to clean up also, and it easily takes all sizes of fruit. I have done oranges, lemons, limes and even tiny native Australian limes.

I squeezed 32+ small limes BY HAND in order to obtain 2 cups juice. I have arthritis in both hands, expecially the thumbs, and after popping several pain killers after that ordeal, I started the search for an electric juicer. I priced out several stand-alone products, and the cost was anywhere from $60-$160 per. I have enough "stuff" on my countertops, and then I ran across the accessory to my KitchenAid stand mixer. It made sense to just pop on the attachment, since the mixer is already on my countertop. The cost was very attractive. As soon as I picked it up at WalMart, I ran a dozen lemons through it and it worked slick as could be! I read some reviews prior to purchasing, and one comment about the "splashing" effect made me nervous, but that didn't happen with me. I set the big mixing bowl under the spout, and I don't think one drop splashed. I will use this for grapefruit juice next. I love it and I'm very satisfied that I purchased it.

As far as citrus juicers go, this is good value! No more squeezing by hand, I just simply attach it and away we go. The tray underneath catches most of the pulp beautifully, and I can usually juice about 2-3 large oranges before I have to empty it. The attachment is a little bit large, so you need a clever way to store it. Cleaning it is easy, usually I just rinse it off with hot water and that's it. If you love orange juice, or need fresh lime or lemon juice for cooking, I highly recommend this product. Worth every cent!

I get bulk supplies of lemons and oranges and like to squeeze and freeze for use later. Once I'm set up, it goes along great and in no time my work is done :) The last couple of times I used it though, oil kept leaking and spraying from the gear shaft. I had to continually keep wiping it away to keep out of the juice.The grease leaks right where my juice is expelling. Can this be corrected? Would replacing the gear shaft fix the problem? When buying my KitchenAid mixer and additional parts, I felt I was investing in the best tools available. I would like to salvage the tool but do not want grease in my juices. Can you help? If we can resolve this issue, I would definitely recommend this accessory to friends and family.

I brought this item on the 9th December 2020. This was the second time using the juicer and I noticed black spots of oil or grease coming out from behind the juicer attachment into the freshly squeezed juice. It did juice really well but the that was over shadowed by the fact we had to though out all our juice because of the oil in it.

I did not order this I don't even have a mixer….so I be sending it back

Kitchenaid, if you are looking at this, I wouldn't take this review lightly if I were you. Because I'm thinking about hiring a lawyer for this. The attachment has some serious design flaw to have that metal particles sips into the extracted juice. I'm not sure how I have been taking the extracted juice with the metal particles in it or not, but this issue also poses harming customers health and so on so. Looks like the metal particles are produced by the attachment hole's metal finish from the inside of it, and there is one other metal wand that helps to hold the corn shaped shredder attached to the device and when it rotates the metal parts get shredded and which in result, those bits will be sliding down towards to the tray and travels down further to the extracted juice. My question to you is that your QA team actually tested its safety or not?
