KitchenAid Spiralizer Thin Blade Set - KSMAPC1AP

This spiralizer is exactly what I needed since I had bought cheap plastic ones before that didn't do the job efficiently. It's easy to use and much better quality than those cheap ones.

Makes spiralizing easy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent items: save time and money by buying the most suitable model in the first place. I initially bought the KSM1APC, containing 5 cutting blades and the spiral extension, along with my Artisan at the same time, but I should have bought the KSM2APC, instead (containing 7 cutting blades and the spiral extension because it includes the 2 thinnest, extra-fine blade [for angel hair zoodles] and peeler/ slicer). This would have saved me money from having to separately buy the 2 thinnest spiralizing blade and peeler/ slicer pieces (KSMAPC1AP). Note that it was my mistake not to buy the KSM2APC 7 piece unit in the first place. Both units are excellent, but I didn't buy the correct collection in the first place to suit my needs.

easy to spiral

I bought the 5 blade set and was not aware of the 7 blade set. I think the core part of the thin slicing blade and the extra fine spiralizing blade are the same size as the other small core slicing blade and maybe also the fine spiralizing blade. I think I am understanding that it slices thin and the other slices extra fine with the same size corer. It is good to know that you can purchase them separately but you will have to pay more money. I haven't experienced enough yet with it. I will use it a lot more come harvest time.

These aren't much different than the blades that come with the spiralizer itself. Unless you are very picky, you could skip buying these extra blades and not miss them at all.

The pictures show the full KitchenAid spiralizer all you get is the 2 small blades. This is a rip off. don't waste your money. you do not get what is in the picture.

I purchased for an over abundance of zucchini from the garden :). It worked ok, but there was still a lot of wasted zucchini. I tried carrots and sweet potato and it's hard to get it positioned right to start and then struggled to get through the veggie! I would get a few good spiral turns, then it would push through to the device that holds the other end of the veggie. I had high hopes for this product, but not worth buying or storing it.
