Fresh Prep Slicer/Shredder Attachment for KitchenAid Stand Mixers - White

I inherited my MIL's Kitchen Aid K5-a mixer. I immediately purchased the Fresh Prep Slicer /Shredder because I shred block cheese weekly. I cannot explain my sheer excitement and satisfaction of how well this product performed. Unlike most shredders, I did not have to pull compacted cheese out of the blade rotor. Nor excessively push the cheese down to go through the tube to grate. It simply did its job. I was so impressed I videoed and sent it to my husband and asked why we waited to get one of these mixers! We will be ordering the ice shaver and pasta maker/cutter soon!!! So well done Kitchen Aid! Thank you!!

I am loving the Kitchenaid shredder. I've made zucchini fritters and shredded carrot so far. So easy to use. Great results

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use to put off making Zucchini Bread, Carrot cake of Frittata's due to my food processor being a nightmare to clean or my arthritis stopping me from grating large amounts. The Fresh Prep Slicer & Shredder Attachment is a must come summer a lot of coleslaw will be on the menu!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So very happy I purchased the FRESH PREP Slicer / Shredder attachment. Slices and grates in a second. This bowl of food literally took seconds. Easy to clean. I've since purchased the extra drum set to go with it.

My husband bought me this for Mother's Day this year and I've been using it for shredding cheese for my sourdough cheez its! It made it so easy! Today the plastic tube broke from the base and after looking at the reviews it looks like I can't fix it or use the warranty to replace it! Ugh very frustrating.

The product itself is fine, but the box is completely ripped up and taped back together. The outside box is totally fine but the actual product box inside the shipping box is horrible. Not gift worthy.

Very disappointed. The Feed Tube has broken apart from the Attachment Housing, rendering this accessory completely useless. I've only had this for less than 2 years & only used it once every few months for shredding cheese. Always hand-washed. Can't find parts for this. For something so expensive, I would have hoped to get at least 10 years considering how often it was used.

Extremely cheaply made product. It broke where the clear plastic and white plastic are GLUED together. I take very good care of my accessories, have always been gentle with it and always hand wash. I didn't get very much use out of it and honestly the spot that it came apart wouldn't take that much stress for it to have come apart anyway!

I've had this attachment less than a year. I love my KitchenAid mixer but this attachment is not worth the money, in my experience. It has already broken and I am babying it along to get my moneys worth before I go ahead and buy a separate, counter-top shredder. When shredding cheese, no matter the temperature of the cheese, the shredder gums up on the inside and cheese must be dug out with a fork. This is just extra work (which isn't a MAJOR concern) but when you spend this much on a kitchen product that should make life “easier” I would not expect this type of issue.
