The KitchenAid 2-Qt Ice Cream Maker attachment for my KitchenAid Tilt-Head stand mixer is convenient and easy to use. I appreciate find ways to make more organic homemade foods; especially ice cream. Now instead of always using store bought ice cream to make a Smoothie with fresh fruit; I can use the KitchenAid attachment to have less ingredients I don't need. Although, If you check the LABELS on the store bought ice cream there are one or two that have the fewest ingredients - more homemade, "pure and simple". I love ice cream.

durability is excellent, texture of the ice cream is good, cleaning is good, I always wait till it's completely room temperature. holds well in the freezer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best ice cream ever. At first it was a little hard to get the attachment on, but once I did, it was so easy. The key is to have the mixing part moving before you add the liquid. Then, once it gets soft serve consistency you are done! Make sure to freeze the bowl for a solid 48 hours before trying to make the ice cream

I was SO excited to receive this because I already have a kitchen aid mixer. This looks so easy and convienent to use to make homemade ice cream! Before now I didn’t know this was an option and I am so excited to be able to make fresh ice cream at home without all the gross stuff in store bought ice cream. Would definitely recommend.

This works great and the quality of ice cream it makes is second to none! However, there are 2 things you need to know before buying: 1: You need a good amount of freezer space. It has to be fully frozen for at least 12 hours before using. 2: you MUST cool your ice cream mix for at least a couple hours prior to mixing. I made the mistake of not doing that and it won’t freeze the liquid. Otherwise, enjoy your machine! We love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never made ice cream before, and this is only my second time using a stand mixer, but this made it relatively easy. It made a very smooth, commercial quality consistency and texture. Like most canister style ice cream makers, it does require a lot of space to be able to freeze the bowl for 16 hours. The instructions say 20 to 30 minutes but I had the consistency I wanted and it started clicking after about 16 minutes only. However, I'm not a fan of how the driver attachment connects to the mixer. It is very hard to put on correctly with the rubber or silicone grips. I wish there was a piece that made it attach more firmly and definitively. The first several times I tried to attach it, it would slide or pop off. Also, once the ice cream gets firmer, that clicking noise that's supposed to indicate the ice cream is done is loud and disconcerting. The plastic parts of the driver attachment don't seem that dense or strong, so I'm worried about it breaking. I did see quite a few reviews saying that the driver attachment broke on them. I'm satisfied, but if I hadn't received this free from Influenster to try out and I had more counter space, I'd probably buy a stand-alone ice cream maker That's easier to assemble and had a better record of durability

I bought this attachment because I had the machine and it was less than a creamini. I also liked the thought of only having to freeze the bowl ahead of time, rather than all the ingredients, so it was more "whim" friendly. It does work if you follow the instructions and start the machine before you add your mix. Otherwise it freezes to the bowl and then won't spin. This is also what happens at the end. There is about 20% of the ice cream frozen to the bowl and will not scrape off easily, which means wasting ice cream or scratching your bowl. Waiting until the bowl thaws to wash it is irritating too. This system has it's flaws but it was still fun to make ice cream with my kids. I just doubt it'll be as often as I intended.

Purchased online as a gift and store pick up. was disappointed when the person unwrapped it and found a "clearance tag" and price on it. i never thought to look for a price tag on the item and i certainly did not get that deal on it. could have saved $17 on it.

I saw the ice cream bowl was on sale for 40$ dollars off so I bought it when it arrived it was clearly used in the sense of it was not sealed and also there were used Halloween candy wrappers in the box which was odd, the website did not say it was used or refurbished. Very disappointing purchase from Walmart not the first the Walmart website has let me down either.
