KitchenAid Metal Food Grinder Attachment, KSMMGA

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Trying to clean up my kitchen in so many ways - getting rid of plastic, making as much of our food from scratch etc. This attachment has allowed me to a plastic free tool to make clean sausages for my family, and mince up beef sticks to dehydrate for snacks. It's so helpful as a stepping stone if I want to upgrade to a bigger grinder, but if not, it still does everything I need it to from my kitchen counter. It's a great addition to my kitchen, thanks KitchenAid!

I live this gadget. The kitchenaid was a gift, and came with the ice cream maker. I bought the metal meat grinder and sausage maker shortly after. I love them all! We have used the new appliances a lot and they are wonderful. With the grinder we have made burgers, Italian style pork and fennel sausages, and boerewors.

We just got this product we were going to go for the plastic one I'm glad I got the metal one it's a professional made product and the box it comes in is great so easy to keep it all together and store we make 500grams of sausages come out fantastic we now make our own mince meat and sausages on a weekly basis we love it we are even going to make a few salamis next year when it's time my opinion and I'm a hard person this product is amazing is food grade quality

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am glad I purchased non metal food grinder. It works well on my Artisan food grinder. I prefer to cut the meat into cubes first, refrigerate it until cold and then mince. One suggestion I could make is to provide a container for organisation of the various pieces of the grinding kit to keep them safe and clean.

Very good at grinding pork shoulder into ground pork. Able to grind almost 5 pounds of shoulder in less than 10 minutes. Only meat so far but very happy.

I love my KitchenAid, but I wanted to try something different so I thought this mincer would be a great addition and it really was. I've had a blast with it.

Love it, glad I got the metal version - and the homemade GF gourmet sausages were a huge hit!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used it to make 20kgs of sausages and worked an absolute treat!

The mixer locks itself up as soon as you screw it together. If you leave it loose to turn when empty, it jams in use. The axle is too long for the body, causing significant jamming pressure that prevents use. How can this pass engineering, not to mention QA? Axle is nearly 1/16th inch longer than the space for it in the grinder body. this makes cutting blades protrude and lock up.

I got this in this weekend and was very excited to use it. I grounded up about 5 pounds of meat. I followed the directions and watched some reviews. It worked well. When I was done, I removed the attachment and was greeted with meat impacted into attachment point. I cleaned it out. Two days later. My kitchen smelled horrible. I tracked it down to the mixer. I removed the top cover and there was blood in the frame. I had to remove the entire gear assembly. Meat was lodged everywhere. It's rusted now too.
