It works

Simone on Nutrisystem July 19, 2017

I bought this after joining Nutrisystem. I'm trying to get creative with vegetables. I did beets, zucchini, apples and cucumbers. They all worked out pretty well. The inner soft parts of what I spiralized do break but that's to be expected I suppose. I loved the beets in my salad and the zucchini I Place of noodles was really delicious. I like the thickness of the zucchini. I really haven't used it a lot. It I have the weekend off and plan to do more food prepping. Also the case it comes in is pretty nice. Solid construction and it fits on my old Hobart Kitchen aid that I was gifted. Three generations:) and I'm down 18 pounds in five weeks!!

Zoodlicious!

MtnLady October 9, 2016

I initially bought this spiralizer attachment mostly to make zucchini noodles. I had been using a small manual tool, but it took a long time to make enough for two people. This tool is easy and uncomplicated to use and can make a big pile of zoodles in just a few minutes. I also was pleasantly surprised at how little waste there was. Now that it's fall, I intend to try the slicing and peeling blades on apples and potatoes. The small blades just slide into the carrier and pull out for cleaning when finished. Easy peazy!

Forget Spiralizing by hand!

joktaster August 15, 2016

I have a spiralizer that you turn by hand, it works fine. But boy does the Kitchen Aid Spiralizer beat it by a mile!!!! It makes every veggie uniform in size since it turns down it's track with even and consistent pressure vs. the kind you turn by hand which can vary. This has become my go to, especially with summer's fresh veggies! The different blades are easily changed and they all work smoothly. My only negative on it is clean up, the little blades and cutting edges can be a bit tricky. But you will have the same clean up with any spiralizer you use, at least this one saves you time on the actual spiralizing end of it.

Healthy and Pain Free

Low Carb Kitchen Yum August 17, 2017

I have just recently been diagnosed with heart disease and Type 2 Diabetes. These are two things you could never be prepared to hear. So in trying to get healthy, zoodles seemed to be a choice that would help me on my journey. I already had one of the less expensive zoodlers but it was hard for me to twist the zucchini over and over again. One of my adult children asked why I didn't just get the attachment for my KitchenAid and let the motor do the work for me. Ding, ding, ding the bells went off in my head and now, I own it. A lifesaver! My carpal tunnel is no longer giving me fits and I have been zoodling everything that I can. Fabulous investment! In a full lifetime of investments, this rates up in the top five. You have to have this attachment!

Fantastic for Healthy Eating

PCamp August 22, 2017

As someone who eats extremely low carbohydrates for health reasons, I was looking for something to add a little less boredom to my meals. This was it. The Spiralizer can be used to create appealing food with healthy ingredients. And we all know that we eat with our eyes first. I'm glad I made this purchase.

Retired Engineer meets the Spiralizer!

Retired Engineer January 5, 2017

I got a Spiralizer attachment as a gift some months ago. I had not used it for concern about it's efficiency and what looked like a long and involved cleanup requirement. It was time for the family Christmas dinner at my house, with Christmas ham and a favorite I like to make: scalloped potatoes. I keep looking for a good way to prepare the potatoes, which for a big group means a lot of peeling and slicing. The Spiralizer was on the shelf of the hutch and still in the box. I wondered if it might work for the scalloped potatoes. I went to the online site and watched the videos that KitchenAid provides. It looked like it would be a good tool for the job. I got the small coring spiral cutter and the peeler out and used then for my trial on a nice Russett baking potato. I was really impressed! (Something not so easy to accomplish with a retired chief engineer!) The setup was very easy and seemed to nearly go together on its own. The actions of peeling and slicing were smooth and consistent. Getting the final product off and removing the peel (one single long thread!) was perfectly simple to do. For use in the recipe, I just mad one lengthwise cut through the spiral to end up with disc shapes. There was a hole in the middle of each disc, but no one even noticed. I took a picture of the machine running about halfway through the first potato and sent it to my daughter- the gift-giver. Also very important for me- the cleanup was less than a minute and easy to do. Really happy with this one, especially my daughter who said I was way overdue for trying it out. Nice job KitchenAid.

Great accessory for my stand mixer

Anonymous March 19, 2016

I've had this product for a couple of weeks and have used it many times. I have spiralized sweet potatoes, white potatoes, zucchini and apples. It's very easy to setup and clean up. I've only used the peeler once. It didn't work great on potatoes due to the uneven exterior. I used it to slice apples to be dehydrated, zucchini noodles for soup and potatoes to be baked. Spiralized potatoes make a nice presentation and cook faster. I will continue to find uses for this product. The instructional videos online are better than the booklet sent with the product. I like that the box can be used to store the blades and other pieces securely.

Needs some improvement

Cyn November 3, 2016

I have done 5 runs of apples (1 1/2 bushels) so far. It is a bit difficult to get them onto the holding bar if the apple is a hard variety, such as Arkansas Black. The Golden Delicious went on easier. The center that cuts the core needs to be just a bit smaller. I ended up having to cut around the peeled, spiraled apples on almost every one. Sometimes I must have touched a place that had oil because my fingers ended up with black on them. Never could figure out where it came from. If Kitchenaid would make the improvement of a smaller corer I would give this attachment 5 stars for the time it would save and ease of use.

Fine spiralizing attachment produces the same size as Medium

Debra April 3, 2017

I have a Manual spiralizer but decided to buy the KitchenAid attachment after surgery on my right arm. However I am very disappointed with the Fine spiralizer attachment as there is no difference between the cut of that and the Medium attachment. I contacted Customer Service and they sent a replacement but it made no difference. If I would of known this I would not have purchased since the Fine spiralizer attachment is the one I use the most. I compared the attachments between the Manual and KitchenAid model and the look pretty much the same so not sure why it doesn't work. KitchenAid should fix this issue.

Disappointed

Lady D December 18, 2016

I'm so sorry to report this but I was really disappointed and returned the spiralizer. I was so excited to order this product. My sister has a cheap plastic version and I thought -- great, KitchenAid quality, plug it into my existing and much-used stand mixer and voila! Sadly, it was a disaster -- I tried apples, sweet potato, and celery root. At best, it peeled and spiralized for about 1/4 of the item before it just spun and became mushy. I did everything. I rotated the item. I tried "helping it" and finally gave up and returned it. If you asked me to recommend my stand mixer -- I would say 5 stars. This item was a surprising disappointment.
