Pretty, efficient, Im so happy I got it. I have increased my protein intake based on a recommendation for perimenopause. One thing I'm doing is taking at least three protein shakes a day, that I mix at home. I was using a frother, but it took too long to make in my opinion (I have been labeled impatient by some, not that I believe it.) I started using the blender, but I didn't want to deal with the pulling out and in again, and I didn't need that much volume anyway. So, this thing takes a second to mix well. It is pretty and relatively small so it stays on top of the counter. It comes with a mixing cup that it is very convenient and effective. I use cold milk with the protein powder and the cup gets cold. I also use it as a drinking cup, so it is less to wash. Just the cup and the mixing rod. The rod just requires a turn and pull to remove. The only thing I don't like is that the rod leaks when I pull the cup out; but I just use a paper towel underneath the mixer and problem solved. All in all I love my new protein bar tender;-)

This mixer is probably a little slower than the smaller highspeed mixers of today. Just let it do its job unattended and it does a great job. You are probably looking for a mixer because your high speed mixer stopped working. It is not as versatile as the newer ones but when it comes dependability it great, after all this design has been in use since 1911.

A great and iconic addition to any kitchen. I always used to see the chrome milkshake blender at the soda fountain in the drugstore in the small town I grew up in, and it's kind of nostalgic to be able to make milkshakes with the same blender. It's very well built, easy to clean, and works like a charm.

Great to make malteds like you use to get in the neighborhood malt shops. I also use it to make smoothies. Just squish the fruit or soften the ice cream a little.

My wife stops & buys shakes once a week for us and our daughter. So I thought what a great gift so we could just make at home. It works great! we always use hard ice cream and within a few minutes it is a perfectly mixed shake.

Good product and makes nice shakes. Make sure you follow directions and soften ice cream prior to filling. Add all flavors and malt mix(your choice) LAST before mixing. This guarantees a good mixing. Make sure the beater bar is locked in place. Wish it had a metal mixing blade instead of plastic. That is why I give it 4 stars instead of 5.

The product is advertised as chrome but the mixer is plastic and chrome colored. the mixing wand is plastic on the end and should be metal. it works well but i am not sure how long it will be before it breaks

Not what I thought it was cheap plastic and thin metal spindle the entire body is smaller than I thought it was including the cup. No matter how you put the cup on it shakes violently while mixing. I'm sending them back and just buying a regular blender very disappointed.

Could not wait to get this item, and was very disappointed to have it quit working the first time we used it. We made milkshakes, soft ice cream and milk, and only got two and a half made before the motor burned up.

I was very disappointed. The head of the mixer would not hold up straight, (like it was already broken maybe?), and we made our first shake and our last at the same time because the head broke completely off and was hanging by the wires.
