Pretty, efficient, Im so happy I got it. I have increased my protein intake based on a recommendation for perimenopause. One thing I'm doing is taking at least three protein shakes a day, that I mix at home. I was using a frother, but it took too long to make in my opinion (I have been labeled impatient by some, not that I believe it.) I started using the blender, but I didn't want to deal with the pulling out and in again, and I didn't need that much volume anyway. So, this thing takes a second to mix well. It is pretty and relatively small so it stays on top of the counter. It comes with a mixing cup that it is very convenient and effective. I use cold milk with the protein powder and the cup gets cold. I also use it as a drinking cup, so it is less to wash. Just the cup and the mixing rod. The rod just requires a turn and pull to remove. The only thing I don't like is that the rod leaks when I pull the cup out; but I just use a paper towel underneath the mixer and problem solved. All in all I love my new protein bar tender;-)

This mixer is probably a little slower than the smaller highspeed mixers of today. Just let it do its job unattended and it does a great job. You are probably looking for a mixer because your high speed mixer stopped working. It is not as versatile as the newer ones but when it comes dependability it great, after all this design has been in use since 1911.

One was a strawberry shake using cut-up frozen strawberries, and it handled them with no trouble at all (you can see the results in one of my photos). Being metal also makes it easy to clean—just a bit of hot water and dish soap, and it's ready to go. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We absolutely love this mixer!! It was so easy to make delicious milkshakes and smoothies. My young son has found his new favorite kitchen roll. Just add the ingredients, set the speed and 2 minutes later, a perfect drink. Be sure that you GENTLY move the cup up and down and side to side to thoroughly mix the ice cream or crushed ice. The unit is very easy to clean and the turquoise color is so pretty. It's sturdy but lightweight and the dual speed is exactly what you need to make whatever fun drinks you want to create.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In reviewing this milkshake / drink mixer (#1 icecream lover) in my head i was back in the 1950s way before i was born, reality in my kit hen using this awesome HB drink (milkshake) mixer and absolutely are loving it. Lets dive in for details. Came well packaged. Unpacked the cord is plenty long for those hard to reach sockets. The feet have little suctions on it which in prevoius similiar products this wasnt available. The saying the little things , works wonderful vs a machine sliding all over the place. Im over here mixing w one hand now. The fashion color brings back the 1950s.. what a great finishing touch. Plenty of mixing power as long as you can adjust your liquid what a perfect drink and a great shake you will serve. The height of the machine is great as if you have to unhook to do some manual mixing or if you need to remove the stainless cup to pour and serve.. HB keep up the great work and thank you for bringing some history with this mixer. Highly recommended

It mixed my milkshakes very well and even stirred well when I added candy. I also used this to make frappes. It's compact, doesn't take up much counter space and is very durable. We host game night once a week and it's become apart of that tradition. It's so easy to handle that the kids to do it too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used my Hamilton Beach Drink Mixer on a Saturday afternoon when I had a friend visiting. I used a yogurt and ice cream mixture with added flavorings. It came out frothy and delicious. It brought us both back to our childhood sitting at the 5 & 10 store counter while our mothers shopped. It was easy to use, clean-up was a breeze and I love the old fashioned look and color. A fun product that stirs up great conversations.

The item arrived in retail packaging. The box was crushed, making it impossible to wrap it as a Christmas gift. On the package was an INVOICE from MACY'S, not WALMART. The price indicated was more than $10 less than I paid Walmart for the item. The item itself is plastic, though it looks like metal. The blender blade is plastic, not metal so it cannot blend a smoothie containing crushed ice. This is not mentioned in the online product details. The head does tilt but it wobbles, not well made. Finally, to release the blender "stick" one must pull hard to get it released from the motor head. Not well designed.

Not what I thought it was cheap plastic and thin metal spindle the entire body is smaller than I thought it was including the cup. No matter how you put the cup on it shakes violently while mixing. I'm sending them back and just buying a regular blender very disappointed.

This machine sounds like it's going to explode every time i use it. The motor sounds when making drinks vary from loud to awfully loud. The product overall is very cheaply made.
