The product is nice but they should include diferent sized cuttung blades for slicing different meat thicknesses. The only skicing blade cuts paper thin which is ok except for certain meats you might want cut with more thickness.
During my very first use of the product, the machine failed. I believe that the motor is underrated, and no matter what you try to make, the machine will fail because it is so poorly made.
Very pleased with my Hamilton Beach food processor with scraper. Wide chute for easy feeding, and the scraper really helps so that I don't need to stop and open it up to scrape down the sides all the time, thus speeding up processing time. I highly recommend this product!
I bought this mid-grade Hamilton Beach food processor to replace a Farberware food processor that broke. On the Farberware, while shredding cheese, a piece got lodged in between the blade and the lid and snapped the plastic post. The same thing happened on the Hamilton Beach, but it did not break. It did a very good job chopping onions, too. If you are looking for big chunks though, watch out! It is very powerful!
Be careful you don't make a mistake... I just bought a house and I was unpacking my kitchen. I had unpacked my brand new food processor and put the pieces together to put it away. In my haste (I have 2 young kids and I'm single, so its a lot of unpacking and moving to do alone!), I put the cup on the wrong way. I didn't find out until I went to use it a month later. Once its on wrong, you can't get it off without breaking it and you can't use it. the cup goes on wrong without a fight, so you don't even realize it. I tried contacting Hamiton Beach but no one has gotten back to me.
Used this food processor for the first time today to make some basil pesto. It is very easy to put together, unlike the last one I owned. Worked very well, just as I'd hoped! The only thing I could complain about is it didn't suction down to the counter as well as I would've liked. It vibrated quite a bit on high speed. Maybe I just didn't have a good contact since my counter is a little wavy:) Overall, very pleased with my purchase!
Being that this is my 1st food processor, I don't have a comparison, but it is the greatest helper ever! I researched and looked at many different food processors before deciding on this one and Im glad I bought it. I like that it sticks down to the counter so it doesn't move, its quiet, easy to use and it cuts prep time way down.
I have used it frequently chopping and slicing. Worked perfectly for sweet potato slices to make chips. I made almond butter using the s blade and the bowl scraper is invaluable...what a perk! The motor seems powerful enough for any project. The chute works well and quick. It did well in the dishwasher, top shelf. I did not put the blades in, but I think you can. Now that I have this processor I am sure I will eat healthier.
Bought it for making dips, salsa and some chutneys, it works very well for a family of 4 to 6. Not so suitable for making in smaller quantity though. It functions well and as intended, initially had trouble with opening and closing the jar lid, but after a couple of attempts got used to it to close the lid properly. Haven't explored the other food processing possibilities with it yet.
I bought this Hamilton Beach Food Processor for my daughter, who cooks alot. She couldn't wait to open it and used it right away. She loves it!! Said it was easy to use and easy to clean, also loves the food scraper that was included. It should give her many years of use.
