It is well-designed and manufactured to high Quality standards. Although I bought the coffee grinder model only on sale. I had intended to buy the dual coffee and spice grinder model, but that item was not on sale. The spice grinder model is a misnomer, sold separately as a stainless measuring cup and lid. In essence, you swap out the coffee measuring cup and lid to seat the spice measuring cup and lid in the coffee grinder. For the full price, I might as well buy a second coffee grinder to use as a spice grinder. Oy vey!

Do not need a lot of bells and whistles!

Ann January 31, 2026

I originally tried another brand and kind, and it was too hard to regulate which grind was best. This one a friend suggested this one, and I love it. Put the beans in, count, "1 and 2 and 3. up to 10, and it is perfect. No matter how many cups I make or how many beans I add, that works perfectly each time.

This little grinder does its job!

Rashell March 12, 2020

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sleek and matched my mixer and blender. Easy to use and grinds with the touch of a finger. Different grind times allow you to get the perfect grind for French press, auto-drip, espresso and more. Very easy to clean. A must have for every coffee enthusiast. My old one moms 50's KitchenAid wore out after almost 70 years. With appliances that last this long why buy anything else. LOVE MY KITCHENAID!

NOT AS GOOD AS MY PREVIOUS GRINDER (SAME BRAND)

BAD May 24, 2026

This item is so inferior to the same brand of my 15 year old grinder, HOWEVER, IT DOES NOT GRIND AS WELL - TAKES LONGER. PERHAPS THE BLADES ARE JUST NOT MADE OF THE SAME MATERIAL AS THE OLDER ONES! JUST GIVE ME A COFFEE BEAN GRINDER - FORGET THE SPICE THING AS IT SEEMS TO DEMOTE THE UTILITY OF THE BLADES!

for the money its ok, was hopeing for a better grind then it dose. it depends how long you hold the top down. no way of timeing or way to pick what kind of a grind you get. im useing for now but when i can afford more i will get a burr grinder with the choice to pick the grind. i will not buy again.

Nice grinder, but not well made.

Vickie February 10, 2026

It grinds really good, but it's really loud. It's hard to get the top to line up, so you can push down to grind. It doesn't seem like it will last very long, because it's really light, and I think the top may have issues. I bought the red one, and it matches really well in my kitchen. I think it should be $20 cheaper, $50 is high for it TBH.

We had one for over a decade and based on that one we would recommend buying. However when bought new one in 2025 to replace the old one, the new blades just wouldn't perform well at all. Not sharp enough perhaps. Not oriented correct perhaps. Not exactly sure why. But woefully underperformed compared to its predecessor.

It makes grinding coffee an actual chore

Walter December 1, 2025

The simplest thing, it has one job, but none of it is easy to deal with, and pushing the "grind button" is fraught with false starts (you have to push the whole lid down in a Mayan calendar progression); more than half the time I cannot get it to grind coffee

Feels cheep with a ruff finish

FishLivesMatter February 15, 2026

This is will not feel the same as the previous finish if you had one before. The SS that kitchen aid uses now is cheap very ruff on the hands. The grinder overall appears the same but if you expect to keep the smooth finished outer body as before, you'll need to move on to another grinder. I returned it after nobody in the house would use it because it feels like gripping Velcro. Step it up KitchenAid.
