These filters are excellent and they do make a difference. My real time average mileage computer has already ticked up .2 mpg since installing this.
K%26N air filters are expensive and I purchase one for every vehicle I own. This is the first one I've bought and thought this should not have passed the final quality control inspection. It should function properly, but the finished product is not what I'm used to appearance wise from K%26N.
Filter came ready to install. Installation was easy and took a matter of minutes.
Easy to install to replace existing air filter in car. Fit perfectly. Just need to remove and wash every year or 6k miles, let dry and reinstall. Will save money and time by reusing washable air filter.
Had this filter on another vehicle and it gave me more performance and better gas mileage. Clean once or twice a year and it never needs to be replaced.
Have used K%26N products previously %26 know their quality.
I feel the surge of power when my Mazda downshifts, the air speeds past my K&N and the direct injection dials up more fuel. You'd better have it aimed in the direction you want it to go....just don't quite get that with the OEM Mazda filter installed. An incredible rush on the back country roads I'm fortunate to take to work each day, and ultra-confident with highway driving.
Ordering was simple, delivery was quick, and installation was smooth. I hate replacing air filters every 10000 miles, so this is an easy way to keep the car running. Just put 50000 miles on the K&N filter on my Hummer H3. Seems strange that in the 1950's we had oil bath filters, then came wonderful cotton, and now back to oiled filters........ Similar to 1950 blacked wheels, then chrome, and now back to black. What is next?
I have been using these air filters for years. These are great filters at a fair price. I have never had a problem with fit and finish, and cleaning is very easy. When it comes time to change my new car filter, I install a K&N period. I am also going to start replacing my cabin filters with K&N if available. Buy one now and save money over the long haul.
So far so good. I have had this filter on for about 17,500 miles now. I have yet to clean it... just took it out the other day and knocked some large leaf pieces out of it. Filter over all is still very clean. When I had my HEMI Ram and Challenger I was cleaning the K&N filters every 10,000 to 15,000 miles, and they would be almost black. I do lots of driving (about 60 to 70 miles a day for work) and I'm glad with the smaller motor I don't need to clean it as often. This filter helped me get my best MPG so far (41.3 MPG) and before the filter the best I could get it up to was about 37MPG. I bought the Mazda to save money and to commute to work. The K&N is definitely helping with the saving money part. The first thing I do after buying a new car is find out if there is a K&N filter for it. Keep up the good work.
