Mobil 1 Extended Performance Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5W-30, 5 Quart

I have trusted this pile for 40 years! In my current vehicle, a 2015 Chev Equinox with 220,000 miles and takes one eighth of a quart of oil at the most every 5000 miles in a vehicle that many say there lucky to get 100,000 miles on it! How could this be. I think some people cheap out on motor oil, some may just think they don't have to use Dexos type oil all I know that every care I've owned has at least ran double of what most say should be that particular motor's expected mileage till break down, or heavy oil consumption ! So I feel I am getting a bargain for the slight extra cost !

I used Valvoline Restore and Protect for 3 one thousand mile oil changes to clean out the sludge and varnish in a 2012 Camry engine, then switched to this Mobil Extended Performance for future 5000 mile oil changes. This variant of Mobil 1 still brags about crankcase cleaning in one oil change. Nowadays full synthetic is only $5 a jug more than dino oil, so use it! I don't trust further than 5k miles due to the stresses of urban driving and our lead foot. I do want a varnish reduced engine to preserve piston rings and overhead cam shaft and timing change etc.

I've used different brands over the years and dont really notice much of a difference, BUT there is something a little more satisfying and reassuring about seeing 'MOBILE 1' on the bottle as opposed to store brands (even Amazon has their own brand of motor oil). But honestly, do we really think it matters? Probably not, its all coming from the same pipes. In an case, using this in a car from 2012 and no complaints.

Mobile 1 is one of the remaining 2 full synthetic motor oils still on the market. The Shell oil owned plant in Qatar went down on March 16, 2026. They are not making the GTL base for synthetic motor oils. The other one is much higher in price than the Mobile 1 oil is. even though it claims 25,000 mile protection, I would never go over 7,500 to 10,000 miles between oil changes. That would also be with the best oil filter, which doesn't come close to 25,000 miles. I recommend Mobile 1 as my from now on motor oil. . I have 2 vehicles that will use it from now one. 1 has 270,000 miles and the other one has 150,000 miles. Both run great and don't use any oil between changes.

Have been running 5W30 Extended Wear in a Supercharged 1998 4Runner since 2004. I have enough confidence in it, to switch two newer VW's that call for VW 508 (ESPX2 0W20), to Extended Wear 5W30. Extended Wear 5W30 meets the ESP X2 0-W20 specifications for API SL, API SN, API SP, and API SQ Easy decision

I have been running Mobil 1 products in my automobiles for years and have had excellent results. I am now using Mobil 1 Extended Performance in both my 2005 Toyota 4runner with 4.0 liter V6 and my 2004 Volvo S60 T5 with a high-compression 2.3 liter turbo inline 5 cylinder and they are running very smooth and with excellent fuel efficiency. Walmart seems to have the best price on this oil that I could find. Match this with a good quality oil filter and your engine should last for an eternity!

My original ship date was postponed a few days due to supply chain issues. When the box with 2 jugs arrived the oil jugs barely survived bring crushed. This type of box used for 2 5qt jugs is too flimsy. Other than a late shipment and a severely warped jug all was fantastic.

Misleading description and $50 per 1 gallon jug you can buy anywhere online for $35. Seller shipped from Amazon their receipt included for $107. Showed up a day early. They sent a thank you letter and that's what the Walmart app said was delivered. Very confusing company.

I ordered 3 five quart jugs of mobil1. Two had broken seals, with about 1/2 quart missing from each. Somewhere along the line, someone topped off their car with that oil. No quality control by Wal-Mart.
