Mobil 1 Extended Performance M1-212A Oil Filter

Mobil 1 is a quality oil that keeps my engine running and will only be good with the matching filter. My car is used every day and sometimes for long distances so I need to keep up with the maintenance and Mobil 1 helps me do that with ease. To keep my car running smoothly, I gladly pay a little extra for quality products.

With prices on oil filters rising across the board, paying the price for a Mobil 1 Extended Performance oil filter doesn't seem to be that extravagant anymore. For this price, I get a much more robust filter construction that gives my high performance Ford 3.5L Twin Turbo Ecoboost engine in my 2014 Ford Taurus SHO more peace of mind knowing that the filter is doing a good job in giving added protection to my engine through its high efficiency oil filtration.. The M1-212A oil filter is a direct fit for this engine.

The mobile one extended performance oil filter is a great value for the money installation is a breeze and it helps. Keep my oil filtered and clean on my high mileage vehicle which is a Ford flex over 10 years old. I've been using mobile one oil and filters for many years and don't plan on changing it as they say if it's not broken don't fix it. The price is competitive. The durability is very strong and compared to other brands. It's an overall great value and easily available when needed.

I bought a new Chevy truck back in late 2022 and I decided to study what is the best oil and filter. I viewed videos on YouTube and read some of the post on the forums. What I found some of my old favorite filters from K%26N its failed performance and NAPA and WIX had changed their design. I cut my filters to see how they held up and take pictures. I study some of the design features, since then and became aware of the good and lesser advantages of each. The Mobil 1 Extended Performance M1-212A Oil Filter became my favorite for the best features design in my opinion not only because of the reasonable price but because of the bypass valve design and the use of the leaf spring that holds the filter media centered compared to the coil spring in which I question this. I have purchased several filters to keep on the shelf in my garage for maintaining another vehicle that uses the same filter, a 2017 Chevy 5.3 Tahoe. As of December 2025, unless I find something different, I recommend this M1-212A filter made by Mobil the in made in South Korea.

Mobile 1 still makes a quality filter. Been using them for decades. Unlike many other brands, they have not decreased internal filter media size. If they do, I will go back to Motorcraft which did decrease internal filter media size but it is much cheaper. Specially since I do synthetic and 4k mile oil changes.

i always get my oil and oil filter from Walmart only because of very great price other than Autozone....you will see what im talking about once you compare prices

The chart chained to the shelf indicated this filter would fit my model %26 year car. It absolutely did not. Now stuck because I threw out the receipt.

This product did not work and was clearly not compatible with my vehicle. I'm extremely frustrated that it was recommended to me despite not matching my car's specifications. Once installed and oil was added, the moment the engine was turned on, oil spilled everywhere. As a result, I now have to repurchase all of the parts and oil, which is a complete waste of money and time. This situation reflects poor customer service and a lack of proper guidance. I expect better accountability and a resolution.

This is a review on Walmart not the filter. There site says this filter fits a 2024 GMC Acadia. It in fact does not fit. So i had to go pick it up and now I need to go return it! They also messed up my oil not sure why i ordered from them but I will not again!

I hate Walmart!!!! This item was opened and smelled of oil. Was used but I kept it anyway. Should have returned it. My fault. Oh well. Doesn't matter because I will never buy from Walmart again. They suck!!!! Amazon is soooooo much better!!!
