Mobil 1 Extended Performance M1-212A Oil Filter

I bought a new Chevy truck back in late 2022 and I decided to study what is the best oil and filter. I viewed videos on YouTube and read some of the post on the forums. What I found some of my old favorite filters from K%26N its failed performance and NAPA and WIX had changed their design. I cut my filters to see how they held up and take pictures. I study some of the design features, since then and became aware of the good and lesser advantages of each. The Mobil 1 Extended Performance M1-212A Oil Filter became my favorite for the best features design in my opinion not only because of the reasonable price but because of the bypass valve design and the use of the leaf spring that holds the filter media centered compared to the coil spring in which I question this. I have purchased several filters to keep on the shelf in my garage for maintaining another vehicle that uses the same filter, a 2017 Chevy 5.3 Tahoe. As of December 2025, unless I find something different, I recommend this M1-212A filter made by Mobil the in made in South Korea.

The mobile one extended performance oil filter is a great value for the money installation is a breeze and it helps. Keep my oil filtered and clean on my high mileage vehicle which is a Ford flex over 10 years old. I've been using mobile one oil and filters for many years and don't plan on changing it as they say if it's not broken don't fix it. The price is competitive. The durability is very strong and compared to other brands. It's an overall great value and easily available when needed.

Very easy to install and priced right. it is a part of a vehicle that you do not see, so how it is functioning you won't know till you do your next oil change.

Mobil 1 is a quality oil that keeps my engine running and will only be good with the matching filter. My car is used every day and sometimes for long distances so I need to keep up with the maintenance and Mobil 1 helps me do that with ease. To keep my car running smoothly, I gladly pay a little extra for quality products.

Did not fit I put in my make and model of truck and was given the wrong filter

Bought 20K mile motor oil and 30K mile additives only to find out at the garage I had no choice but to use there 5K mile oil filter. Because the 20K mile oil filter I bought from Walmart was defective. Wouldn't screw on because the threading was defective.. Lost over $90 in extended mile products that I now can only use for 5K miles.

The reason I gave this a one star is very simple. The website stated that this filter would work for my husbands car, but it was completely wrong. The filter that was needed was completely different then what Walmart.com stated would work.

This is a review on Walmart not the filter. There site says this filter fits a 2024 GMC Acadia. It in fact does not fit. So i had to go pick it up and now I need to go return it! They also messed up my oil not sure why i ordered from them but I will not again!

This product did not work and was clearly not compatible with my vehicle. I'm extremely frustrated that it was recommended to me despite not matching my car's specifications. Once installed and oil was added, the moment the engine was turned on, oil spilled everywhere. As a result, I now have to repurchase all of the parts and oil, which is a complete waste of money and time. This situation reflects poor customer service and a lack of proper guidance. I expect better accountability and a resolution.
