It's a short can. If you can use all of the color, a better value is to get the larger can. But I had a mailbox with a silver top, a medallion, and the body was black, and I had three black house numbers. I needed my house numbers painted and wanted a bit of a contrast between the other colors. This was enough paint, and then some, I probably wouldn't need the rest of the can for a long time because of the color chrome. This color Chrome was a nice contrast to the steel mailbox lid and aluminum looking medallion. It makes the house numbers stand slightly out and draws your eye to the mailbox hanging up on the porch. We have a high turnover of mailman in our neighborhood, and I want to make sure they can see the house numbers. The steel lid, aluminum medallion with the word Mailmon it, and these three letters sprayed with Chrome, it's a nice look. I sprayed the paint on at the correct temperature and humidity, did a very thin coat, and then another coat in about 45 minutes, for the two coats would merge together looks great. You don't want the first coat to dry out before the second, or that becomes two layers. That paint the second coat will eventually peal. By waiting about 45 minutes, it's dry to the touch, the paint on the first coat hadn't totally gas out, the second coat will merge with the first and both will gas out in 24 hours. You don't want to spray coats after an hour of the first coat. So yeah this chrome color isn't bad at all and I like it over the stainless steel look, because that reflects sunlight too hard. Shake it well spray, put it on in the range of the temperature and humidity, 8 inches out and a very thin coat, 30-45 minutes drying, or dry to touch, put on a second thin coat, let dry 24 house, works fine.
Used on plastic soda bottles. Glad they sell a small size as its easier to shake and spray and feels less wasteful. Color was a shiny metallic chrome.
This is the prefect size for small projects! It has great coverage. The color doesn't show that well on cardboard materials.
Great Coverage and Color Matching
work great did a find job.
Use for engraving glass, this stuff is great!
True to color and the right amount.
I used Short Cuts to paint bottle caps. Because I had the time, I waited 48 hours between coats. Each coat dried completely, and the bottle caps are very attractive. I plan to seal them with a glossy clear coat for durability. I am very pleased with this product, and I will continue to use it for small projects.
I misread the description, so I didn't understand the small can size. But even allowing for that, it was not an easy smooth spray. I've seen similarities in other metallics, so that might be a factor.
Bought a can of the Sun Yellow to apply over a very light gray primer on a model rocket. After three coats, the hide is absolutely awful compared to the old Krylon of 30 years ago. Perhaps it works only over white primer but now I am afraid to use the can of red I bought at the same time.
