This TV show is GREAT! Karate buffs and for crime fighters who love watch tv. And all around David David Carradine fans.
It's a great update to the 1970s show Kung Fu. They turned Caine into his own grandson, who was separated from his son by a fire in the temple they were living in. They find each other 15 years later after thinking they were both dead. The rest of the premise is pretty similar to the original, bad guys, being schooled and beaten by the good guys, and teaching others how to be good guys also. My only problems with the story line are how the focus on the original Caine and pretty much leave out the other generations in between. The women are touched on a bit, but more information about those ancestors would have been appreciated by this reviewer. It just feels like something's missing. That doesn't stop me from loving the show just as much as the original ;-) Now if they'd only bring seasons 3%264 over to the States so we could watch them! <3
I enjoyed this series when I was younger.
Very worthy continuation of the classic series. It's a stirring adventure tale!
not as good as the original, but still good
it is a great show
a classic that never gets old
This is definitely not the first series! Lol! We knew that before buying it. We love Kung Fu original series and it has so many life lessons to teach. This series has very few lessons and is more action and crime. We are having a good time watching, as we know how over the top it actually is. We were totally unaware of the nudity scenes and were flabbergasted that those scenes were on national tv. We may think they were cut out of tv and put into the dvd set. If you have little ones in the room, you should skip through those scenes like we did. It is very interesting in its own way. Don't think that this series will be the same as its predecessor, because it's totally not. It is entertaining on its own personal level. With that being said, we have fun watching and stepping back through time to an era that was more raw. It is good to have these to watch and have a good time laughing at corny stuff from back in the 90s. We will keep watching these and we appreciate the time warp.
Always loved this show. And it's good to see that it wasn't just nostalgia telling me how great it was. Yes, its a bit cheesy. But what do you expect from a Kung Fu Cop Show from the 90's. The disks were in good condition and the quality on my larger screen tv wasn't very bad at all.
This copy of the show is subpar. It was purchased to relive my stupid 90s childhood fetish. The disks are poor quality. You can barely hear the voices over the background music and sound effects. I forgot how bad the acting was in these shows. If you really have an itch to watch these like I did then you won't be completely disappointed. It was nostalgic to watch these episodes. Lol!!
