great for kids tacos
I was given a jar of La Victoria Salsa: Salsa Verde Thick and Chunky through BzzAgent in exchange for my honest review. Of all the La Victoria Salsas I tried this was my favorite. This will take any eggs to the next level, gave my omelet a nice pop of flavor. I also made crockpot chicken and used this as the base and it really added flavor to the chicken. The perfect versatile salsa so all different types of meals.
I used the La Victoria Thick and Chunky Salsa Verde to make slow cooker salsa verde pork. It was a hit! The salsa was full of flavor and gave the pork a really authentic taste. It is described as medium spicy but it is definitely not an overpowering spiciness. It is delicious!
Instead of using the salsa to top food with, I decided to cook with it. I made some chilaquiles verdes with the salsa and oooooomg, it was delicious. It was by far the best chilaquiles verdes I have made and it was definitely due to the salsa. Amazing flavor, great texture. Very good all around.
I love the taste of this La Victoria Mild Thick 'N Chunky Salsa Verde. It has just the right amount of spices, green chilies, onions, and garlic. I love the salsa on my tacos and, I used it as a marinade for my beef tips. I made some fried rice as a side to go with the beef tips. Man, it was delicious. I like the spicy seasoning it has. I even used it as a dip for chips as well. I would recommend it.
This is my first time trying the Salsa Verde variety produced by La Victoria, and I really like how the taste of sun-ripened tomatillos comes through to balance out the jalapeno and spices. We smothered some homemade enchilladas with this sauce, and it was incredible! This is our go-to salsa verde now after buying store brands for years. Definitely recommend!
This salsa has a great flavor. It taste very different than your traditional red salsa and the texture was nice. I had it both with chips and inside a chipotle flavored shrimp burrito and both ways were delicious. Would recommend this any day of the week if you want to change things up.
I was really disappointed with the LA VICTORIA Verde Medium Salsa. The flavor tastes flat and a little artificial, nothing like a fresh verde salsa. It has more of a tangy, almost sour aftertaste instead of that bright tomatillo and chile flavor you expect.
I have been buying this for a year and the most recent delivery was the grossest thing I ever tried. It tasted rancid and I had to throw the whole jar out. I am not sure if you changed suppliers or what. but it was much better when it was under the other listing. Please bring that one back.
It has a weird vinegary taste to it. I personally don't like it.
