Larabar, Gluten Free Bar, Peanut Butter Cookie, 8.5 oz

We love the Lara Bars. These have dates and peanuts. and salt. They are gluten free and tasty. Our toddlers enjoy these. They are very picky so they each have their favorites. My husband always has a box in his truck for work for a snack during his long work day for between meals.

Personally, I think this is an excellent product. My husband and I both like them and keep a canister stocked full (although, we do tend to eat healthier foods more than your average American). No, they do NOT taste like actual "peanut butter cookies" as one reviewer mentioned, but a quick review of the ingredients label would tell you that. This is a health food - not a dessert. There is nothing in these bars except peanuts, figs, and sea salt (YAY!). For having only 3 healthy ingredients, these bars are pretty darn good. They do have sort of a soft cookie consistency, but are thick and dense. We find them to be good for a quick meal replacement when we don't have time to prepare breakfast or lunch, and they hold us over for a few hours. This is essentially a plant-based, whole food that is easily processed by the body - good complex carbs, healthy fats, and protein your body needs - easily digestible and not turned straight to sugar / fat. Incidentally, I find them to be a great asset for those times when I'm needing to shed a few pounds.

I eat these to satisfy my sweet tooth. They are made of dates and nuts and peanut butter and are all natural, no sugar. My Walmart store has replaced of these with peanut butter with chocolate chips and those contain sugar. I don't think the person who is ordering understands the whole purpose of these bars is that they do not contain sugar. I can't seem to find any other bars that are clean and don't contain sugar or artificial ingredients. I'm really hoping they'll bring these back to the Holly Springs Georgia Walmart store ASAP.

Cannot describe the taste.... its different... Gluten free energy bars are usually ..eh eh... and these are not the exception... but are not gagging horrible either.... I will buy them again...

I received this in a collection of gluten free foods. Advertised as peanut butter cookie bars, they just taste like fruit.
