I bought this lasko fan, base on the reviews, and also wanted another standing fan in the living room. So that I don't have to turn on the AC maybe once in awhile, I have on one side of living room A white Lasko Standing Oscillating fan with remote control. I t's the same size as the Black one I just Bought, the Black fan isn't that bad on first speed, when you get close to it you can hear a little bit, but as you walk away you can't hear it. Now the Lasko White standing fan with remote, you can get close to it and it's pretty quiet. I have a Third Lasko Oscillating white fan in the bedroom and it's a little smaller than the 2 standing fans in the living room. and that one is real quiet. And the fourth Lasko fan is also in the bedroom sits on night stand, that is very quiet too. I did some research and found out that if you keep your blinds almost close and have the standing Fans Oscillating the house stays a little cooler around 79 to 80 compare to 86 or higher with no fans on, no Ac on and blinds open. I got all of these Lasko Fans online at Walmart.
I've had this fan for a few weeks now and it works great. At first I thought I had an issue because when I turned it on after putting it together there was no air coming from it. I then remembered reading something about if you tighten a part too much that would happen so I went back in and loosened up a part (a piece connected to the blade) and voila! Worked like a charm. All in all I made a great choice getting this fan.
I have had the fan for only a few weeks but love it thus far. I like that it is very quiet but I wish that it fit more securely in the base. If you lift it by the shaft it comes right out from the round base that it sits in. It is also very lightweight and is very powerful when it is on the lowest speed.
We don't have our a/c on yet, which is saying something in South Florida. With no ceiling fan, I needed something that would cool me and my 3 dogs in my bedroom in the evening. This fan has been a lifesaver. It gives me just the right amount of wind when I need it and is quiet and doesn't interrupt my sleep. When you take it out of the box, it appears flimsy, but that is deceiving. It is well worth the money.
I like the fan so much for the price. The only disadvantage is the assembling. I dont like the fact that the fan head does not screw to the fan pole. When you pick up the fan you have to becareful and pick it up by the mid pole and not the top pole because otherwise you will pull the head off. I am satisfied with my prioduct, Easy to clean nice color good wind, quiet
This fan is absolutely amazing! I was a little worry that it wouldn't give me the power and blow I was looking for, but I was pleasantly surprised! We normally sleep with the ac, ceiling, and box fan on. Now we sleep with the ac and this fan.
I paid less than $35 and was not expecting much. I got what I paid for. The fan blows decently and does not make a loud noise compared to other stand up fans. Oscillates nicely. The only flaw is the cheap plastic contstruction. It is difficult to assemble/disassemble the fan cage. It is clamped together by very delicate plastic indents. If this fan were to fall, I wouldn't be suprised if it cracked and was irreparable.
Good Product. but couple of things to notice. 1. Fan coming out of stand if we move the fan. 2. Speed Adjustment is not back of the fan, so difficult to adjust the speed while it running.
The fan is attractive and easy to assemble but it has 2 negatives... it doesn't move a lot of air and it has no handle on it for easy moving around the house. If you need to move air in a small room or in a very specific area, this fan will be fine, but look for an 18" or larger if you need to move air in a larger room. Also, if you need a fan you can move around, look for one with a handle on it for easy lifting and repositioning.
Pros: The fan is whisper quiet, and the assembly is easy to do with no tools required (except snapping into place that plastic rim as it has many connectors) Cons: None really.
