This box fan is exactly what you'd expect. I went middle of the road on cost. not too cheap and not too expensive. I like the metal body around the edges, feels more sturdy. The red makes it feel more exciting than the black plastic ones. It sits in my dinning room, adds a pop of color. I have only had it for a couple weeks now. I can't attest to it's longevity at this point. One negative. it came bent, the frame was bent a bit. where the support legs had difficulty going in. Had to mess with it a while to get things to work.
It was broken
The feet broke easily and the handle rattles so you may have to take it off like I did. I know people who have the old Lasko box fans and they're older than me and still work very well and all the pieces are intact it's crazy. Find an old one if you can.
Great fan for the money (solid box and controls with powerful motor), but feet don't keep it stable enough. It rocks when on full speed. Fell over and broke one of its feet off after just a few days of indoor use.
"Snap-on feet" are little short plastic junk that does not add stability, you put the speed to 3 and the fan moves a lot!! It is not stable on 3, I will return it.
Right off the bat, the weld at the bottom of the fan were not grinded and scraped my palm, ended up taking a TT shot. All screw holes were pre- drilled in the frame and the one who had assembled it managed to miss every single hole and drilled an extra hole everywhere all over the frame. The slots for feet were obstructed by this and the feet were pretty much unusable. Very cheap attempt to profiteer off a below par product from Lasko, labeling it as industrial grade. The bottom frame has an extra set of holes(by design ) , if you are using this to build a box air filter. Every part was mis aligned on this. Store brand 20 inch plastic fans are in better shape than this. Never would touch a Lasko product again.
Bana- It's de-effective. The black screen that covers the blades is not attached right. it's crooked, overlaps on the bottom, and doesn't cover the tool mark on the top. (pictures %231 bottom overlap, - picture %234 is the top showing the tool marks that are cover on the other side) I can't attach the stabilizer foot. the black screen covers part of the slot, where I'm supposed to slip the foot piece in. picture %232 and%233. it will not stand safely on the floor with one foot. there is a dent on the side. it's also not as stronger as the 20 dollar one I got three years ago. that still work. There is no quality control with this Manufacturer. very poor workman ship. writing this manufacture in my, don't buy from log.
The fan arrived broken. I realize this is a shipper failure but it's more of a packaging issue. The fan is placed inside the box and the plastic handle is directly under flap with no packaging support. All it takes is a little bit of mishandling and your package will arrive broken. Also, I plugged this Lasko fan into the wall, right next to another (not Lasko) box fan and the Lasko fan under performed next to the much older box fan. To me, not worth the price. The item was returned.
Fan was dented and not square. Top had some rust area or scuffed paint. not much but it should be a smooth area especially for a color and price payed.
My fan arrived dead! Doesn't appear to be any damage or dents. Just doesn't do anything! Also I was expecting MUCH BETTER build quality from something twice the price as the basic box fan. Blades are plastic, I was expecting metal (isn't it funny how they colored these silver). This is the 2nd lasko fan I'm going to have to return. Other one was the basic blue $24 fan. Fan blade was out of balance, it would "walk" across my garage floor. So, just about done with lasko products! My box fan from several years ago still works fine. So maybe something has changed in their mfg and QC process. Companies are going downhill fast these days!
