Fan could blast a little better.
I signed up and paid for a 3 year warranty never received it. Sometimes the heat turns on Sensor doesn't work very well
This is the 3rd heater in this brand we have purchased. Very satisfied with the other two and we need another one. So purchased the same heater again!
Great product. Heats my 300 sq feet room in basement well. This was my first time buying a tower heater from Lasko through Walmart and I was a little hesitant that I might have to bring it back. But so far it has worked to my liking. I bought this just as the summer was dying down and the cooler weather started to return. The real test will be in the dead of winter.
This heater heats up my daughters chilly room lickity split and keeps the temp consistent. It's very user friendly & has a bunch of options. We keep it at 70 degrees and once it's up to 70 it doesn't need to run very much to maintain. It's also very quiet! I would recommend this heater to anyone who needs to get the chill out of a room!
I have owned several Lasko heaters and while this one may be ok for some, it does not offer the digital temp readout/flexibility of another Lasko model for almost same price. this model only allows thermostat settings in 5 degree increments and no temperature readout display.
one flaw would be that it will only set to max heat when set on low fan. On high fan you could play with the temps. Blends in with the room. safety feature: turns off if set on certain temp, excect max temp; on max temp it will keep running until you turn it off that is a bonus for people who get cold really fast. It turns automatically back on if the temp falls below the set temp. Another bonus is the remote, and it oscillates. Dont spend more than $50 on this product including tax and shipping then it will be a bargain.
I've had a LOT of space heaters over my long adult life, and this is the best we've ever had. We use it to take the chill off our large family room, where our TV watching takes place in the evening. The thermostat jumps 2-3° with each bump up, but we'v found that using the 70° setting is very comfortable. The room never gets too hot, and it's just enough to take the chill off. It's silent and can be used to swivel back and forth, but we've found that really isn't necessary. I wish I had found this heater years ago.
I have a townhome and use this to heat the bottom floor and it does a great job. The thermostat on the wall will show that it goes from being 66-68 in the house to 73 in only about an hour or so, maybe more. I also like that it oscillates. I turn off the heat in the house and just this by itself with a small one upstairs in my room to save on utilities and it works great! I haven't used it yet in the winter though, it's been in the 30s at the lowest so far but it still works really well in that temperature.
The furnace in my recently bought house doesn't work. I bought this to keep it reasonably warm while I save money to get the furnace fixed. I also purchased one of the radiator style oil heaters. Despite the Lasko being rated higher on every review website, I feel the oil heater was a better value and warms better. Even though it oscilates and blows it doesn't seem to warm far from the unit.
