I've had a few space heaters over the years to help save on my central air. This is the best one I've used so far. Light, compact and heats the room up in no time. Simple, user friendly controls. This is the unit for me from here on out. Super convenient. Glad I purchased this one!
This heater is amazing. It's so small yet so powerful.
I replaced my older Lasko with what I believed to be the same model. The heat it gives off is very good. However, I expected the new heater to be as quiet as the old one. Unfortunately, this is not the case. Since I paid significantly more than I paid for the previous Lasko, I expectd the same quality. Particularly since the ad for the heater expressed that it was a quiet unit.
With only one main heating system in our home, this heater helps supplement our requirements especially when it is -20 degrees.
great heat output, for this small carry around heater. lets you carry from room to room. the only disadvantage is the noise level. if noise bothers you, when sleeping. this heater may not be for you. has great safety features. all in all a good small heater.
So far, so good. The real test will come mid-winter. It does a toasty-good job and is quieter than the utility heaters that I usually purchase; but, haven't cranked it up on high. The only 2 features that I would prefer to be different are the location of the control knobs, which are on top instead of on the front, and the absence of tip-over bars on the front. I also prefer words and/or numbers for the settings. The built-in handle is nice. The oscillation feature is a plus in case it's needed. If it lasts for more than two winters, I'll be satisfied. *
Loved everything about the heater except the fact that this particular one had no tip-over safety switch. Returned due to that and reordered same unit that included the tip-over switch. Hasn't come in yet but I had same unit in a different color that worked great for a long time then the oscillator motor died. Replacing with the one I have ordered.
Perfect amount of heat. I love this heater, but the first one lasted less than a year. (Note that this was a heater for under my desk and ran 8-9 hrs a day, 5 days a week, all year long). I liked it so much I ordered another. I just hope this one lasts longer.
Does a good job heating up the room. Adjusting the temperature is a bit tedious, though. Trying to figure out where to set the knob can be frustrating because this heater doesn't seem to be able to sense how hot the room is getting. So, I have to adjust it several times to get it to where I want it.
I have had Lasko brand ceramic heaters in the past and was very satisfied. However, I opened his one and started it on a very cool day with the thermostat set on one of the center settings and it ran till the room got over eighty degrees. I turned it to the second to lowest setting and it still got up to 79 degrees so I turned it to the very bottom still got to 74 before I turned it off altogether. The control for the thermostat also felt wrong like it never hit bottom and I had to force it to the lowest position. I just really felt it is defective. I returned it to the store.
