I've used Lawry's Seasoned Salt all my life, and it's hard to think about cooking without it. I use it to season almost everything I cook, as I enjoy the flavor much more than plain table or sea salt. I can't imagine trying to make Chex mix without it. I mix it in when making burgers or meatloaf, and even use it in my flour mixture when frying chicken. Though many prefer plain salt and pepper when grilling steak, I'd rather have mine with season salt. I especially think it enhances the flavor of vegetables, as well as blander dishes, like scrambled eggs. The shaker top comes off, which is handy when cooking. It's wide enough to get a measuring spoon in the mouth of the container, and if the container gets messy, as it will when frying chicken, a quick wipe-down with a damp cloth won't disintegrate the label. As far as I can tell, it contains no MSG, but it does have some added sugar. If you're diabetic, or just need to watch your sugar intake, you should be aware that there is some sugar here. Hmm. Maybe that's why I'm such a fan.
TASTY SEASONING. I HAVE ALWAYS LIKED LAWRYS SEASONINGS AND SPICES. THIS SEASONING IS THE SAME AS THEIR OTHER PRODUCTS AS FAR AS QUALITY. ALWAYS HAVE HAD VERY GOOD MIXTURE, FLAVOR AND REASONABLE COST. OTHER PRODUCTS YOU GET MAY BE DIFFERENT EVERY TIME YOU BUY THEM AND SOME REALLY LACK ON THE POTIENTCY OF FLAVOR. I SEASON MAY THINGS WITH THE SEASONED SALT AND LOVE THE TASTE. IT IS GOOD ON EVERYTHING FROM POTATOES TO RIBS. GREAT PRODUCT
Lawry's No MSG Seasoned Salt The Original is actually some good stuff. It's taste isn't overpowering or extremely salty. Nor is it spicy. I have found many uses for this seasoned salt. French fries, mashed potatoes, baked potato, hash browns, ribs, steak, chicken, some casseroles and eggs. Yes, it's not bad on eggs. The ingredients include: Salt, Sugar, Spices (Including Paprika And Turmeric), Onion, Cornstarch, Garlic, Tricalcium Phosphate (Prevents Caking), Natural Flavor, Paprika Oleo-resin (For Color). Contains No Msg. The recommended serving size is 1/4 teaspoon. Which of course, I use more than that. The lid of the seasoned salt also offers a spout in case you would like to use more. The sprinkle option is there as well. The possibilities are endless with this seasoned salt!
Its been years since we have used Lawry's Seasoned Salt and sorry I waited so long. I can always remember my Mother saying MSG was not good for you so have tried to stay away from any food that has MSG in it. Now that Lawry's is MSG Free I can once again enjoy that taste I remember 40 plus years ago, and man is it good! Just the right blend of salt and spices to make anything taste great. I especially enjoy the flavor on eggs in the morning but have to remember not to get carried away with it, it still is salt lol. I'm sure most of you have tried Lawry's at one time in your life and know how good it makes everything taste. If you haven't tried it in a while do yourself a favor and pick some up again, you won't be sorry you did. I can say that I will always have a container on hand in my kitchen from now on! Thanks Lawry's for bringing back my childhood memories! :)
I have been making a dish for many years that contains rice, Soy Sauce, , pepper, salt, onions, an egg, cream soup, and Walmart Gravy. I throw it all in the crock pot and add enough water to make it a thick soup. This time I added the Lawry'sNo Msg Seasoned Salt instead of regular salt and it made a tremendous difference. My husband, a very picky eater told me it was the best soup I had ever made. I will continue to use Lawry'sNo MSG Seasoned Salt on a tremendous amount of dishes.

Lawry's Seasoned Salt was on my families table when I was growing up. The first time I used it in my kitchen was like finding an old friend again. I went years without Lawry's Seasoned Salt, but not any more. It adds a special flavor the I was missing. That homemade taste. I'll keep a bottle on my stove.
If you looked in your kitchen right now and did not find this there, you would be in the small minority. Lawry's has been a staple for years and will continue to do so. Not only in home kitchens, but in the corporate restaurants also. In the 90's corporate restaurants each tried to have their own seasoning holding in house competitions to find their own signature flavor. And when it was over they all ended up using Lawry's from their back of the house recipes to the front line as their fry salt. Why ? Because it works. The blend of additional spices added to the salt base enhances most everything it is used on. Lawry's comes in many sizes to choose from, this one being the 8oz table size. If you have never tried this, give it a shot. You will not be disappointed. They now have other flavors using sea salt and I ask that you try these also.
In Review of Lawry's Seasoned Salt this product is a reddish color as I show in the picture. I think that is due to the paprika in the product. When I tasted this product along it was not as “salty” as I thought it would be. I had never purchased seasoned salt before so did not have a prior knowledge of the taste. I think it would be a good basic for many meats. I think the product had more of a smoky taste, so it would be a natural paring for ribs or BBQ chicken. I think originally this product must have been for ribs etc, but it would also be great for summer grilling!
Lowry's Seasoned Salt is kind of ordinary for a seasoned salt. It doesn't have that something special that I expect when I use salt with extra seasonings. It adds more flavor than salt used by itself, but it simply does not add too much enhancement to food. When I used it, I had to add other flavorings to the food because by itself, this seasoned salt is not very seasoned. In fact, if you try to get that extra taste and add more of the seasoned salt, it simply makes the food more salty not more flavorful. I made some eggs with it this morning but to make them more exciting I added some Fiesta Blend shredded cheese. I would recommend it to a friend who doesn't like a lot of seasonings in their food.
