I tried Adolph's® Unseasoned Tenderizer for the first time, and I'm really happy with the results! I used it on a couple of tougher cuts of meat, and it made a noticeable difference—everything turned out much more tender and juicy than usual. I really appreciate that it's unseasoned, so it doesn't change the flavor of the meat or make it too salty. It just helps improve the texture and lets me season things my own way. The directions were simple, and it worked just as promised. For a first-time experience, I'm impressed! I'll definitely keep this in my pantry for future meals. Thanks Adolph's for the free tenderizer to try!
This meat tenderizer is just that, not a flavor enhancer and contains NO MSG. It contains Bromelain, which is natural and the enzyme found in pineapple. This product is excellent for tenderizing roast, Boston Butt, steaks, It make the tough cuts of meat much more tender.
I was given a free sample to honestly review this product. I've actually never used a meat tenderizer before so this was my first time. I have looked into meat tenderizers before, but many contain MSG, which I wanted to avoid. I don't want to add unnecessary chemicals to my food. This one does not contain MSG, which is a plus. With that said, I learned that you only need a tiny bit of this tenderizer, and it works wonders. My latest carne asada came out perfectly tender after just 10 minutes, and I could still use my usual seasonings. It definitely made a difference. This bottle will last forever, even with us eating red meat a few times a week. I would totally recommend this product to others. And I plan on buying it to keep on hand after this container is finished.
I couldn't wait to try the Adolphs unseasoned meat tenderizer. I added this to a beef roast and allowed this to sit on the meat overnight before adding in my favorite spice blend. I let the meat simmer on low all day in my crock pot with a blend of mixed veggies and let me say this roast came out nice. It was tender, juicy, and melted in your mouth.
I was honestly blown away by how well this tenderizer seasoning worked. I used it on a tougher cut of steak that usually needs hours of marinating, and within 30 minutes, it was noticeably more tender and flavorful. The seasoning itself has a great balance—not too salty, with just the right mix of herbs and spices to enhance the meat without overpowering it. I've tried it on chicken and pork too, and the results have been just as impressive. This has definitely earned a permanent spot in my spice cabinet!
Adolph's Unseasoned Tenderizer is a versatile and reliable product that helps elevate the texture of your meats. One of its biggest advantages is its simplicity—being unseasoned means you can control the flavor profile and tailor it to your specific recipe. The powdered enzyme formula effectively breaks down connective tissues, resulting in more tender cuts of meat without compromising the natural flavor. Application is straightforward; simply sprinkle the tenderizer over the meat and allow it to work its magic. It's especially useful for tougher cuts like round steak, flank, or brisket. The results typically show in a noticeable improvement in tenderness within a short period, making it a favorite among home cooks and professional chefs alike. However, because it's unseasoned, it requires pairing with your preferred spices or marinades to enhance overall flavor. Overuse can lead to an overly soft texture, so it's important to follow the recommended amount and timing. Overall, Adolph's Unseasoned Tenderizer is an excellent tool for anyone looking to improve meat tenderness effortlessly, offering consistent results and great versatility. I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.
This stuff works! I used it on some tougher cuts of meat, and it made them super tender and juicy. It's easy to use, doesn't change the flavor, and really makes a difference. A little goes a long way, too. Definitely keeping this in my kitchen from now on!
The Adolph's Tenderizer does exactly what it's supposed to! It makes meat cuts tender with just a sprinkle. I like that it's unseasoned, which gives me the freedom to customize flavors however I want. It's convenient and easy to use. Just be careful not to salt your meat before using it, as stated in the instructions, since that can disrupt and overpower the tenderizing process. McCormick kindly gave me this Adolph's Tenderizer for free, so that I could review it.
I was able to use this tenderizer on several dishes I made for my family and friends. I felt like it did slight tenderize better than others I have used, but it did not enhance the meal with any flavor and the dish was just okay and was pretty bland. I am planning to use the whole bottle, but will have to season otherwise. We are a family of 8 and constantly on the go. Adding another step, even though it is small, is not what I am looking for and will have to tell my husband and oldest, who help cook meals for the family especially when I am away, to add additional seasoning when using this product. I can see them not wanting to use it at all. If you have the time and want to enhance the meal with additional steps, I don't think it is entirely a bad option. I don't believe it worked well enough to add this to my cooking routine.
How disappointing it is to remember, when years ago someone taught me that bromelain came from Pineapples and how it was the main ingredient in meat tenderizer only to find it now mostly salt! And it's supposed to be unseasoned?! Now it's the last ingredient. Very disappointed.
