It has a nice balance of sweet, with a little hint of spice and what I believe to be lemon. I used it on some salmon filets and shrimp that I grilled. Both were a complete hit with the family; we were all licking our fingers and of course everyone asked what did I use to season the meat. The salmon was only seasoned with McCormick® Grill Mates® Brown Sugar Bourbon Seasoning. Needless to say, multiple people left with the intention of finding it in the store!

Instead of putting on a billion different spices and seasoning meat, this was all I needed to season my chicken! It's a little smokey but flavorful. The bottle also lasts quite a while even with using A LOT for a whole pack of chicken. I recommend this!

I've had similar seasonings in the past so honestly my expectations were somewhat neutral however i think as blown away by this seasoning blend. I received McCormick Grill Mates Brown Sugar Bourbon Seasoning from BuzzAgent to test and review. So I decided to cook chicken breast two different ways using this seasoning. 1st, sprinkled on and grilled, and 2nd, marinated and cooked in a sauce. Both ways were very different, but both turned out good. It has a sweet brown sugar flavor at first, followed by a zesty taste, then you get a hint of bourbon but it's only for a second. It also gives the chicken a nice caramelized glazed look. Whichever way you decide to use it, it's one of those seasonings you really can't go wrong with. It adds a good flavor with minimal effort, and I plan to try it on pulled pork next!
