I had a small leak on my roof, just a little drip every 20 seconds or so around that pipe that sticks out of the roof.it was dripping into where my intake is. I purchased this product and had it put on the roof and so far no more leak!! Such a great price for peace of mind until I can have roof replaced.
If you are having problems with our roofing, and you know where the leak is this is the product you want.It is reasonable price and Walmart will deliver it that day.
Ease of use is a little incorrect. It's sticky. But it's supposed to be. It's a sticky rubbery mess. Be sure to buy plastic gloves. Or get vegetables oil to help remove this stuff from any exposed skin that this stuff sticks too. But as far as a product for specific roof repair. Seems to work so far.
This Black Jack leak stopper is tough!!! Its very easy to spread, dries great and so far it has sealed the roof of my camper and kept it from leaking. It also doesn't dry out easily which is great for a person like me who sometimes forgets to seal lid properly.
Works good, it applies nicely no dripping. It does let you correct over layers. Outside layer dries in about 24 hours or a bit more but softer inside. This would be in our location of temperatures in the 90-105 degrees. Always use gloves with this stuff. We always use WD40 %26 shop towels for the aftermath, hands cleans quick with a few rubs. We used it to repair the black felt and to patch some roof tins..
I used the "Other" stuff as seen on TV. That stuff would only work 6-12 months before the leak came back. My metal roof panels meet in a valley and this roof patch has been going strong over a year now, easy to spread. I can see this roof patch lasting years.
Bought this for repairing leaks and potential leaks in the underlayment of a concrete tile roof. The consistency is heavy and must be applied with a trowel of some sort. It stays in place where you put it and must be spread out with the trowel the desired thickness. It takes several days to dry and on hot days can be very sticky. If your doing a large area it can get messy. We're old clothes and keep some mineral spirits for clean up. In spite of that it appears to do an excellent job of sealing leaks.
it worked really great and dried quickly. but make sure that you have everything you need before you start using this. you need fabric tape, at least two different types of trowels and some type of cleaner to remove the tar from your tools and other items
I'm a single lady afraid of heights that needs to repair something on the roof so I order this and Walmart delivers me a dented up can missing a handle. is this a joke? How am I supposed to lug this heavy thing around on the roof without a handle? if it was paint that I was using on the ground I could make do without a handle so I make a special trip to Walmart to return it. And I see that all of the cans are dented and most are missing handles or the handles are falling off.
It's a good product and have used for years, but the problem was it came with a dent in the can next to the lid,so some tar leaked out,but also dried the top of tar out,so don't know who packed this package or did that can get damaged somehow in being delivered, my feeling is it should had never been put out on a shelf to sell to any customer in this condition period..
