This is an excellent resource for teaching about classification in science. The size and shapes of the apples are perfect for little hands. These were exactly what I needed for our apple themed lessons! As usual, Learning Resources created another wonderful product that is both educational and well-constructed. These apples will last for years in my classroom. The kids love them too!

this item was purchased for Johnny appleseed day for a preschool class. There is so many uses for these. we bought them for "apple picking" but now knowing the quality of them, i can use them for color sorting, size sorting and many more activities. definitely a great purchase.

I love these apples. they are a little small but work well as a sorting learning activity for my 2 year old. She sorts them by color, worms, and size, to a lesser degree. I love using these as a teaching tool and would gladly recommend them

My two year-old son really enjoys these apples. I appreciate the detail on them and the fact that they are great for comparing / simple attributes. I made a fall sensory bin with them and it was a hit. Now we use them in a play kitchen. I do think they are a little overpriced, but they are good quality at least.

keeps my toddler engaged

I am very pleased overall with the product. The 3 colors and sizes make the possibilities for use much greater! Unfortunately some of the children were not happy about the worms on some of the apples and would not sort them! The apples are sturdy enough I can easily wash them and keep germs down. Do wish the basket/container was a little sturdier so I could use it for more than just storage.
