Purchased for one year old grandson. He loves playing with it everyday. Putting the apples in the top of the tree and watching them fall into the bucket and opening and closing the doors. This tree will be able to grow with him as he begins to associate colors with the doors and match the apples with the numbers and shapes. I like that this is not a short term toy but something he will enjoy as he continues to grow and develop.
This toy has bright, vibrant colors and easy for little hands to use. there are so many different ways for them to learn with this toy.
Super cute toy. Has a fun little slide surprise.
quality item. fun learning.
Opening the doors is easy but it's hard to put the apple back in and have it stay
they pull the doors off but they snap back on. they play with it for hours
I bought this after my child saw it on Ms. Rachel and it was worth every penny. Kids can learn numbers, animals, motor skills, colors, shapes, and more. I bought a second to donate to a pediatric therapy clinic.
I really love the design because my son adores opening %26 closing doors. He was interested in it right away and he's usually not engaged with toys so much yet. The one thing I would say that's a real problem is the quality. The doors, at least some of them, come off way too easily. *I* was opening a door to show him how to do it and it came off in my hand. The hinge isn't awful and you can put it back together, but it's far from what I'd expect from such a good brand and usually high quality company. The second part of the quality issue is that the tree does not stand up well by itself. That's at least as big a deal as the hinges, probably more so, because it makes it really difficult for a kid to open and close the doors. You have to stabilize it with one hand. It would be okay enough if it could flop over on its back and you could open and close doors that way, but because there's a narrow platform at the base of the tree (the 'ground') when it falls over, it doesn't fall flat. A smaller thing...it doesn't really make sense that the 'Door Number 5' that you use to match the purple '5 mark' apple with is the same door the chute drops the apples through in setting %232. I don't get that. I guess if you dropped all 5 apples down it you could show 5, but I don't know a toddler will understand that. It seems sort of random in a non-sequential, bad sort of way. I was an elementary school teacher and maybe I'm being a bit hard on it there, but it just seems like there should have been another door. .....All that said, and those are pretty big caveats.....it is just really rare to find a toy with multiple doors that open %26 close for toddlers. He is enamored with it. As long as I stabilize the base he can get the doors open. It's a neat idea to have an apple that matches by color, shape, and %23 for each door. It's cool that there's a 'forest friend' behind each door. (But a little puzzling the BLUE owl is behind a door other than BLUE.) I would still buy it over again because I haven't seen anything else like it and he thinks it's very cool.
The red door keeps falling off. Even off the replacement they sent
Fun idea, not so fun DESIGN. I Purchased due to sale price of under $20 (Originally marked at almost $40) The plastic is SHARP, THIN %26 FLIMSY. The tree doesn't really "stand up" on its own. The open %26 close doors %26 the chutes worked as expected. However, after less than 3 DAYS, one of the doors FELL OFF and would not latch back on successfully. My little enjoyed the APPLES and the clinking sound they made. I have purchased better quality toy s at HALF THE PRICE. Pass on this!!
