LEGO Classic Creative Ocean Fun 11018

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This is the perfect starter set for young children! I got this for my nephew who recently turned 4. He outgrew Duplo and was looking for a chance to jump into the "real" lego world. These are challenging enough for him to spend some time without getting frustrated or asking adults for help. I plan to buy different sets for him in the future!

I bought the LEGO Classic Creative Ocean Fun 11018 Building Kit; With 6 Mini Builds, Including a Viking Ship and a Yellow Submarine, Plus Extra Bricks for Imaginative Play; Educational Toy for Ages 4 (333 Pieces) for $15.99. This is a pretty cool Lego set because it has 7 pretty simple builds, but it also has extra blocks for more creative play. It took me 23 minutes to build all 7 ocean items so it would probably take kids from 30 minutes to an hour to build all of them plus a few fun pieces. The box says this is for 4 . I think it might be challenging for 4 and 5 year olds, but they could definitely do it with some adult assistance. I teach third grade and my 8 and 9 year olds love building quick and easy builds. Their minds would run wild after building these and I'm sure they could come up with some other awesome ocean creatures. The first three bags have 2 or 3 builds and then the other two unlabeled bags have the extra pieces. The instructions were easy to follow. I do wish there was a brick separator in this box because some of the small and intricate pieces are hard to remove from each other. It would be nice if the box could recluse as well so all of the pieces could be stored inside. Overall, it's a pretty cool set for $16 with a ton of bright and unique Lego pieces that aren't typically in the basic Lego boxes.

Also, the colors are so much fun and bright. I like that the set comes with extra pieces for building anything. The theme was a great idea in my opinion.

This is a good set for a beginner or someone that wants to add it to their collection. I highly recommend this set.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. The ocean fun classic lego set has fun mini builds. Our favorites from the vehicles are the viking ship and the plane. From animals, we loved the whale and seahorse. The builds were fairly simple, but they have great details. The set includes two additional bags of bricks. One bag has color bricks that include pink, aqua blue, and purple. The other bag has neutrals, brown, sand, and gray. There are some special bricks and a couple of extra pairs of eyes. It's a great set for small display builds or imaginative play.

The imagination and creativity is left to you. I bought this for a family member and they very much enjoyed it. Who doesn't love legos. A definite puchase for any and lego fans!

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. This is a fun Lego set. It has 333 pieces. There are lots of colors and lots of non-traditional parts. I wouldn't but it as my first set, but it's a great expansion set for those with other classic Lego sets. I expect this product to last for years and years. Please note that as with all Lego sets, assembly is required.
