Legion 5 pro

Majd_wan September 24, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lenoveo legion is beast in every aspect, the design is very business like, which is better than flashy gaming styles we see in other brands. The performance is very great I didn't face any problems or troubles during games and work. If I want to add one thing is with RTX 4070 it would have been great if I could increase the memory to 64 GB However the max for this laptop is 32, which is not enough for some work related stuff.

Worth the extra cost over cheaper Legion options!

Jonathon December 6, 2023

I originally went the cheaper route and got the Legion 5 (regular) with 7735HS, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD from WM's Black Friday sale for 899 but its' SSD was crippling performance. Enter this monster - the i9-13900HX is far more powerful than I would have expected. Synthetic benchmarks place it above my very recent and competent desktop with a Ryzen 9 7900X paired with fast quality DDR5 and PBO tuned. That's ludicrous. Haven't done an incredible amount of gaming on it yet. But, it plays Cyberpunk 2077 (I used game default settings, RT Low) and it played very smoothly. Call of Duty MW2 benchmarks well but again I haven't really had a chance to dive in and play it yet. Overall, I'm very glad I opted to expense the extra dough to get this over the original one I purchased. The SSD is PCIe 4.0 like it SHOULD be in a modern 2023 gaming laptop, the CPU is insane and the RTX 4070 Laptop GPU seems to offer enough extra umph over the 4060 that I'm keeping this one!

Great rig with high-performance!

Clayton King June 18, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a high-performing machine with incredible graphics. I am not a gamer, but I am a graphic designer and media content creator. This machine rips through video business video production like nobody's business. The Nvidia GPU offers amazing refresh, and is available my application of the users choosing. I highly, highly recommended this machine. The one and only drawback for me is the size of the power adapter, which is quite large. I'm exploring alternatives that may not afford the same output, but that will power the machine.

Solid, high-performance gaming laptop

JasonInAlbany April 25, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been working and gaming on this laptop for a few weeks now, and it's fantastic. Build quality is great, keyboard is clicky, trackpad is smooth, webcam is better than expected, and most importantly, it has an incredible amount of power for a reasonable price. I can play demanding games like Cyberpunk 2077, Halo: Infinite, and Forza Horizon 5 in native resolution at over 60 fps. The only drawback as far as power is concerned is the Geforce 4070 on my model only comes with 8GB or VRAM. Some games have already given me warning messages about VRAM utilization. I can always turn details down a bit, but it's a little disappointing for an upper midrange GPU. Also, I would love for battery life to be better when I'm not plugged in, but I'm plugged in most of the time, so this laptop more than meets my needs for gaming, work, and content creation.

A Gaming Machine that's not just for Gamers!

FamMan November 29, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not a gamer--I'm more into photo and video editing along with a few other high memory and fast CPU requirement apps. So if the gaming abilities of this machine are ever used, it will be by my kids and grandkids. But the Pro 5i has the CPU, memory, SSD size, screen quality, and build quality that I was looking for in a new laptop... and I love the 16" screen size. I've been using the Pro 5i for about a month without any hiccups, and apart from its lackluster speaker quality, I'm totally pleased with this machine.

A Designer's Dream: Legion Pro 5i

Melina Miller December 14, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently had the pleasure of experiencing the Legion Pro 5i Gen 8 Intel (16") with RTX™ 4070, and I must say that it exceeded all my expectations in terms of performance and design. This gaming laptop is an absolute powerhouse, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I work in graphic design and it is perfect for my design program needs.

Nice computer

stc1007 April 17, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only had computer for a couple weeks now but it seems to be pretty good. The system is fast, loads quickly. The one I have has upgradeable storage so that is a bonus. Cant really say anything bad about this system yet. I wanted a desktop in a laptop and not break the budget. So far it has been all of that.

Well built laptop with some compatibility issues

Mynameistakenidk123 March 15, 2024

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powerful laptop with great cooling. I've had a hard time with optimization. Out of the box, may programs I regularly use don't open an interactable panel but task manager says they are running. There's been some issues with framerate and screen tearing in a couple games from different devs. I reinstalled redistributables and repaired Windows 11. I've found workarounds for a lot of issues, but it's really annoying to have this many problems fresh out of the box. Spent way too many hours fixing random issues I've never encountered before.

Gets the job done... and much more!

TonyDanza October 22, 2023

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Powerful Laptop with great built in applications. It can handle most anything I put in its path. I use it for a mix of gaming, learning and hosting practice virtual machines. The only complainant I have so far is the battery life leaves something to be desired. For me, it has not been and issue. I primarily use it as an at home workstation, and if i need a laptop for when I am out and about i have Lenovo Yoga that i love. If you are looking to buy a powerful laptop the Legion Pro 5i is a great choice, it has the ability to be upgraded later on and is easy to overclock if you desire to do so. It has loads of build in functionality to change setting to preserve battery life or increase performance. I am giving 4 stars because of the battery life but i guess i should have expected that from a laptop with a decent graphics card.
