Pro's: Works really well so far. Uses Android 11. Very nice display. USB C charging. Con's: These did not effect the star rating. Takes a REALLY LONG TIME to update Android. Very slippery, absolutely needs a case. The power on/off button is so sensitive that even if you barely touch it the tablet starts up. If you transfer your information from a google phone on setup it thinks it is a phone, that will use up what little memory it has. Micro SD card is recommended for extra memory. You really have to push card to get the SD card door open with tool included. virtually no instruction included just basics so you need to go online if you have any questions. In conclusion, I like it but I find my Google phone easier to use. For the price I paid $69. since I only use this for the internet in my workshop well worth it, getting rid of my Kindle which I hated.
I got this on sales here for $69 last week and it was well worth it. Though it is similarly priced and specced like the Kindle Fire HD 8 Plus, this seems to be a better value since it runs on a later version of Android (11 but not the latest) and seems to be more responsive. This model though supposedly Atmos enabled has only one speaker unlike the Kindle which has two. However, the version with the charging dock does have stereo speakers Still at the price of 469 I'd recommend this. Otherwise, I'd get the one with the dock.
Great upgrade from the previous generation. Faster processor, another gig of RAM makes a huge difference in performance. Rings Microsoft Office with no problems. Decient browsing experience with minimal lag. Previous generations have had good screen performance and this version is no exception. Streams You Tube and Paramount Plus with no stuttering. Speaker isn't great but pairs easily with a BT speaker or headphones. What a deal for the price - love this budget tablet!
Great tablet. Works pretty fast, able to surf the net, use gaming apps, watch YouTube videos and stream Netflix without problems. Me and my son both use this and we both like the tablet. The speakers are really loud as well. Okay without any additional audio or speaker attachment. These were all important features for us.
Just over 4 years ago I bought the original Lenovo tab 8, and after heavy use since it felt progressively slower, and particularly the battery was almost dead, so it was time to buy a new tablet. But that old tablet had great stereo speakers for a cheap tablet, and a beautiful screen, and worked fairly well for more than 4 years, I didn't think anything could live up to it, I stuck with the Lenovo brand because of my old tablet. Well, this new tablet is faster for sure, but it's got some odd glitches, like when some videos play the graphics go psycho occasionally, some apps can't display notifications even tho they're set to, etc. The speaker sounds ok but it's no longer a stereo set, and the screen isn't as good as my old one, the colors look off. But I got it fairly cheap, and it mostly works, so I'll take it. But I'll miss my old Lenovo 8 inch tablet, when it was new it was definitely better.
i bought this tablet because i thought it would be just like my previous Lenovo tab m8. it works fine but i am disappointed that there is no charging light to let you know when it is charging and whdn it is done. my previous tablet had a red light on when it was charging and it turns to Green when it was finished. I cannot find anywhere on this tablet to turn on a charging light.
Very similar to my old Lenovo 8" tablet. The charging port broke on my old one (my fault). Unfortunately they've taken away some of the features I liked. The charging light and notification light are gone. The old one had a coating on the back to help with getting a grip. The new one is very slippery. Instead of two speakers, it now has one. Even with just the one, the speaker sound is about the same; though it's a little louder than the older model without having to activate the Dolby (which is good). It sounds great with headphones/earbuds. It looks to be as durable as my old one, a little lighter (another plus, I dropped my old one bunches of times and the screen never cracked). The camera's photo quality is about the same (I was really hoping for an improvement there). The battery life is fantastic. Large screen, but still an easy size to carry around. It's a great tablet for the price. I liked my old one very much. It never gave me any real trouble, that's why I went with the Lenovo 3rd. generation.
i have been looking for a small tablet so i can stop using my cellphone so much to read and surf the web. this little guy guy fit the bill. it has 3gb ram and 32gb storage, which i expanded by 128gb with a micro sd. the price was right (black Friday).
I bought this for my 5 year old daughter for Christmas last year. It was working wonderful then one morning when she went to watch YouTube the sound wouldn't come on. I watched a few videos to try to make it work. I even factory reset it and it still wouldn't make any noise at all, not even for notifications. I never buy the protection plans but this time I wished I would have. Other then that it's a good tablet. It does work with corded headphones. I will probably buy a samsung tablet or a phone for her next time tho.
Terrible tablet. First of all, the default software on the tablet takes about 16 GBs so you're only left with 16 GBs which is not alot at all. Second of all, the tablet is super slow and laggy at times. Definitely don't buy this garbage and save your money for a more expensive one. This thing is junk.
