Really pleased with this cooler. I use it everyday in complete sun for selling eggs by the road. I use Cooler Shock ice bags %26 still at the end of day ice pack is still partially frozen. Really durable, not like the cheaper coolers nowadays. Does have some weight on it but that's what makes it such a great cooler. Size is perfect for my needs.
If you follow directions and pre cool items, and cooler BEFORE icing you will obtain the longest ice retention. Even when ice is melted beverages were still cold enough, under 45 Degrees to enjoy for couple more days. found these on a close out deal for $56.00.
Delivery was the same day I ordered it! Its exactly what I expected. Will be using for the 1st time today but as with my large Lifetime cooler, I expect to love it!
These coolers are the best value by far. This is much better than the Rtic Ultra Light 32qt i returned to exchange for the 28qt, so much better noticeable better ice retention. I also have the 55qt which has been great.
works as described. if ice is melting before 7 days then your ratio is off. either add more ice or don't pack it with the items you wish to get cold.
I pre-filled the whole cooler full of ice 12 hours before adding the food which I chilled in the refrigerator ahead of time. The cold but not the ice lasted four days with minimal opening. I can see where if you brought all the food to almost freezing, and didn't open it at all, it would probably last five days. But with practical usage realistically, you can get about three days from an 8 to 12 pound bag of ice with a modest amount of drinks and food added. But it's much much better than the less expensive igloo coolers or anything similar. I can't imagine the more expensive brands being much better than this. But it's still claiming five days and it's really three days max. I added a bag of ice less than 48 hours ago and it's already melted except for a few pieces. They say to add the ice to cold water but the cold water just melt the ice faster so pretty good value and works pretty well except not five days so don't count on it. Hope for three days and be happy with 2 1/2 days. But your items will still stay cold for probably four days, but all the ice will be melted.
Outstanding for maintaining ice-cold temperatures for several days. Thick walls mean a quite small compartment for items. VERY HEAVY to lift while empty. And I lift 40 lb bags of feed. I haven't tried to life while loaded with ice and drinks. Just load it, fill it, then leave it in the back of my SUV, open/use it from there.
we keep this in the back of my son's car filled with ice and water. he is very active, running, playing soccer etc and always forgets to carry water. this way, he and his friends can keep it stocked up with ice and water for about 3 days in the back of his car in the Alabama heat and always have cold water. (provided they remember to refill it) i do wish it had a drain plug.
This is a great cooler. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is there is no drain. Kind of a hassle dumping a heavy cooler full of water.
It keeps ice really well. The down side is it's really heavy and no drain plug. But it saves me ton on ice.
