CD player
All computers should have cd players. There are still companies and hospitals, who use a cd to store information. I can view and copy the details, then remove to file, without any hacking issues.

THE USB IS ATTACHED WHICH MEANS YOU DON'T LOOSE THE CORD AND SAVE TIME BY NOT HAVING TO LOOK OR PURCHASE ANOTHER CORD BEFORE YOU CAN USE IT

This is just what I needed for my new computer that did not come with a CD DVD drive like much the new computers, after 2020 do not come with a CD or DVD drive

An Excellent Tool
This DVD Drive has become a very vital accessory. I got my music library loaded and up-to-date. I can ply disc-based games rather nicely, And I can load and play music discs, and play disc-based PC games. It's a very good tool.

Wish the 2 attached wires were a little longer
It works great just as advertised and really like having the attached wires, tho they could be a little longer!

2 positives: (1) built-in power cord, (2) no drivers needed negatives: the open button only works with power, so if it ever stops working, a disc inside will be stuck; it fails often by ejecting the disc randomly, so it's not reliable for playing discs; would only use to rip or burn discs.

Item Doesn't Work
To put it simply, this CD/DVD drive does not work! I spent, quite literally, 20 minutes attempting to get this to work. I read tutorials and forum posts online, watched videos, and tried different settings on my computer...so I don't really think it's just a matter of me not being able to figure it out! Ultimately, I realized the item was just defective and doesn't work. Just putting this review to hopefully help others in the future!

Had issues getting the thing to open first of all. After that it wouldn't burn a disk or play a movie. It did not work properly.

Not supported by newer systems. Total waste. Could find no programs that would allow it's use on my laptop.
