When the grinder arrived I had about 40 pounds of meet to grind. I read the instructions and almost returned it without even trying it out. The instructions state you can only use it for 5 minutes at a time and then you have to let it rest and cool down for 10 minutes. This is similar to the instructions on a paper shredder and always aggravates me because it is difficult to get some work done. After deciding to try it I found that this can process a lot of meat in 5 minutes and you have to move stuff and get more meet ready which took me at least 10 minutes to get ready to run more meat. It does heat up when working for 5 minutes and it cools quickly (unlike the paper shredders that have frustrated me). I found that grinding once with the coarse blade and then regrinding with the medium blade worked great for processing jerky. I just bought some chuck roast on sale and ran it through the grinder twice with the coarse blade and it seemed finer than hamburger from the store. Clean up was very easy, the parts seem to be plated with something to make material from sticking to the parts. Good buy and good machine for occasional use in home kitchens.

A great price. Strong motor. Will grind large pork loins ($2/lb) and turkey instead of buying hamburger ($5/lb). Can easily add onion, mushroom, celery, seasonings. Will pay for itself quickly.

Excellent meat grinder! Was sort of not sure - first time grinder here - Lol - but was super easy and fun!! Had watched a few videos so do recommend freezing the cutter and tube assembly before. Cleanup was super easy - will have crackers on hand next time but fingers worked well. Ground up a turkey - course grind two times - looks delicious! Only used high speed - didn't wobble and meat feeder was a nice pace. Waiting on my ham lunch meat press to play with - great combo! JMO. Only downside from my opinion is the cord length but an extension cord solved that. Excellent communication from company too. Hope you enjoy yours too!

Very surprised! Just took a chance on a low priced meat grinder but find out that it works great, not a piece of junk I thought it would be. It's heavy, well built and comes with sausage making tools and 3 heads. Go for it.

The blades are a little bit to small, when you grind your meat it not only grounds it, it comes out so grounded small you can spread it, it so mashed up. need a tiny bit larger blade to make ground meat not potted meat, but all in all it works great. I like it.

I've never used a meat grinder of any kind before this one, so I only have a little to say. I bought this to process an older brisket I had in the freezer too long. I successfully processed 8 lbs of brisket in short time. yes it did the job, BUT, I can tell that it's made of minimal quality. I'll keep using it occasionally, but if I were going to use it regularly, I'd buy a better quality one ($$$) but for the money, this one does what I need it for. So I'll keep it!

Since canned cat food costs more than pork and chicken (when it's on sale) this has been my new source of wet food for my felines. With canned cat food many times over $1.60 a pound, this is saving me money when chicken and pork are under $1.00 a pound, plus now I'm going to try my hand at making Lithuwainian pieroges like back in the day.

I never had a chance to use it. They sent me a previously opened box that was missing the sausage tube and instruction manual. I wanted to exchange it for a new one that was unopened, but they would only refund my money and not exchange it. So I bought a different one for 2 dollars less. The problem wasn't the unit. It was Walmart sending me a product that had been returned and not verified to have everything it was supposed to come with. This was pretty upsetting since it was listed as a brand new, never opened product.

i used it only one time so far, and i noticed some defects in the metal parts. as far as pushing, it does grind well and doesn't get stuck. However, i did notice that something black comes from the middle of the grinding plate. I'm still not sure what it is because my meat was fresh!!

I would not recommend ordering online from Walmart. I cannot review the meat grinder I ordered from Walmart because I did not receive the grinder. It was to be delivered to my home address, but it was delivered to the wrong address. I notified Walmart and stated that the item was delivered to the wrong address and I did not receive the grinder. Walmart stated that they would NOT replace the item or would NOT provide a a refund. So I suggest "do NOT order on line from Walmart and expect it to be delivered to your home" they are not concerned about customer satisfaction.
