Easy to use, easy to clean. Be sure to clean it right away. Past experience shows bristles get brittle if it's too long.
Excellent feathering on the brush. Worked great for applying stain to deck chairs.
This price was the perfect size for my knee and applied my paint very smoothly
Nice brush, goes on really smooth. Cleans up nice
Smooth finish to clear coat
I love this paint brush! One of the best I have used.
I ordered the Linzer 1.5 Urethane Finishes Polyester Flat Paint Brush and I'm very pleased with the brush. I haven't been able to use it on my projects yet but the brush says it will give an even application! I chose the Linzer brush because I have had experience with them previously and they stand up very well and seems to last forever!!
Not as good as Purdy but good for the money
I am on the DIY, refresh my own furniture kick. I have tried dozens of brushes from the throw away chip wood brushes to the expensive investment brushes and this particular brush falls closer to the expensive brushes as far as results. I was very happy with how it worked. For reference, I only revamp my own furniture, and I would consider myself an intermediate DIYer. In the darker photos, I started with a cherry table and stained it dark and followed up with an oil based poly because I am not worried about yellowing. This brush held on to a fair amount of product, moved easily across the table, and was easy to hold in my hands (I have arthritis). Clean up was also fairly simple and the synthetic bristles were like new after cleaning. While it did leave a few brush marks, I suspect that is my fault for not using enough poly when applying. I don’t believe it has anything to do with the brush itself. I tend to use less when I should use more product. It’s a learning curve still. In the lighter pictures I had an old beat up oak table and put a single medium dark coat of stain on it. On the lighter table I used a water based poly which tends to be thicker and I came up with the same results which were light brush strokes left behind. Again, my fault for not coating with enough material. The brush cleaned up nicely, to the original state after clean up which I think is awesome. The brush easily worked with both water based and oil based poly and clean up was easy as well. I have used Linzer in the past and been happy and this brush is no exception. Highly recommend.
The Linzer 1.5 Urethan Finishes Polyester Flat Paint Brush is summed up in the title of this review. If you look closely at the pic I took of the bristles, you can clearly see that they are too thick to spread anything without leaving visible lines. I'm not sure I'd use this brush for anything, because if used for a base coat, you may end up doing two more coats using a different brush because the lines are so thick and visible. The only use where I see this would work great is when staining an outdoor fence, hence the 3 stars instead of just one.
