Soup is such a comfort meal to me. Lipton soup is my go to when I am sick or just on a winter day. It reminds me of Grandmom's homemade chicken soup that I can make right in my own home. Whenever I eat Lipton soup, I get nostalgic about growing up.
The aroma is the first thing that stands out, it smells warm and comforting as soon as it starts cooking. The ingredients taste simple but authentic, giving it a nice homemade feel. Preparation is super quick and easy, perfect for busy days. The noodles hold their texture well and don't get mushy, which I really like. The overall performance is great for such a convenient product, and the packaging keeps everything fresh for a long time. Definitely a reliable pantry staple.
Bland. Watery noodles.
I eat a Lipton Soup every single morning. I buy 72 boxes at a time. About 5 months ago I noticed a change and thought that maybe I just got a bad batch. But this was not the case. Whatever has been done has destroyed the soup. That great taste that I crave is gone. The water evaporates a lot quicker. And it leaves a nasty film on the pot and bowl. Just to think that the film must almost build the same way inside of me. Unfortunately I will have to eat the ones I have remaining but after these I am done. You have lost a lifelong daily customer. Im 54 and eat one daily, sometimes 2. Horrible decision and not to go back once you started getting complaints is insane. I guess its not all about the customer. Almost forgot to mention, the broth clumps up together creating nasty salt tasting clumps. Just really bad all around.
I've been eating this soup nearly my entire life. I am 51. On this cold snowy evening, nothing sounded better than some Lipton noodle soup. My first clue was the thinness of the noodles and obvious reduced amount of them. The second clue was when I added water and the powdered part wouldn't mix at all. Yet, I heated it up anyway. I noticed it was thicker and more “congealed” than normal. The yellow liquid was cloudy and there was an obvious “crust” on top from the congealed stuff. I tasted it and it was like eating phlegm. What a disappointment.
They must have changed the formula again. The flavor is non-existent now. The noodles have a different texture. The broth is more like a gel. It's gross. I have been eating this soup since I was a kid (~40 years) and I will not purchase this again unless it goes back to the way it used to be. Why was it changed??
First it is imitation flavor - Just noticing what's wrong lately - there is not a flavor pouch separate from the noodles --- used to be a packet and the loose noodles in the box. And with this change the awesome flavor I have known for years is simply not there? THE NOODLES ARE BARELY CRUMBS. Once again another long time favorite has been compromised by the manufacturer. It took me a few days to figure out what was different.
As a longtime Lipton Noodle Soup consumer, the new flavor is not awesome. The broth is different and the noodles have a slimy texture. I won't be buying this anymore.
I do not know what you did to your soup recipe, but it is absolutely disgusting now. It does not even taste like chicken at all. I will never buy your product again. The last 5 boxes has tasted like this.
I loved this soup for so long and would buy 2 - 3 boxes at a time always. However, cuts must have hit y'all like everyone else. Instead of maybe a little more seasoning, not salt, it tastes so bland and like dishwater. It's been two boxes like this and will no longer be one of my pantry staples! What a shame Lipton, what a shame!
