This seasoning is great on roast, burgers. soups. and even I have made a broth for a cold to open up my nasals to breath. OMG! I keep this as I've gotton so many compliments on my roast. of course, I take full credit. I even use it in squash, no other seasonings needed. SIGNED the seasoning STALKER. LOL

Lipton Recipe Secrets Onion Dry Recipe Soup and Dip Mix, 2 Oz, 2 Pack Great to season almost anything. I used it to season a Butterball turkey breast filet and cooked on low in crock pot. It turned out great with some Campbell's Cream of Chicken soup added, as well.

I have a different recipe for mashed potatoes, since I think boiled potatoes loose most of their hearty taste. I start with a 5 pound bag of potatoes,. I bake them, after first sticking a fork in each one and washing them in water. Then I bake them at 400 degrees for 1-2 hours. Pull them out of the oven at 1 hour, then poke a fork into them to see if they're soft enough. Then, since I don't like potato skins, I pull the middle out with a spoon and add that to a big bowl with a tablespoon of the onion soup mix, a tube of sour cream, some honey butter, chopped ham, and a small bag of shredded cheddar. It's best to mix that together while the potatoes are still hot enough to melt the cheese. Mix well. After you've made this recipe once, you'll know if you want to add more of less of any ingredient. A 5 pound bag will make enough to fill about 8 plastic containers. I love this as cold potato salad, too.

Lipton Onion soup envelopes are a great help in the kitchen and unlike other brands their salt level is lower than other brands, specially when you are watching your salt intake, which we all should! but this is very versatile envelope, I use it to make onion dips, of course with sour cream for chips, but another use I like is to add to the rice maker when I;m cooking rice to make onion tasting (seasoned) rice. It complements the white rice very nicely. Also when you are making mashed potatoes you can add some to the potatoes and it gives it a great flavor, just don't add the whole envelope, just shake the envelope and pour some on the mashed potatoes. let them cover for a bit so the onions soften enough. It gives a great taste to different dishes and even on meatloaf. also on stews and casseroles. Just try it!

Great product- love the recipes on the boxes %26 I keep at least 2 boxes on hand at all times. (The onion roasted potatoes are really good %26 you actually can make it easier in one pan. Put the oil %26 onion soup mix in the casserole dish, add potatoes %26 stir/coat well %26 bake.) Works well to season other dishes as well.

This has become a staple in my kitchen. Having it on hand to use in place of fresh onions when I am short on time really helps in the kitchen. My family loves it in meatloaf.... and on their roasted veggies.

This soup mix was easy to use. I've never actually used it for soup or dip, but I enjoy using it for seasoning. It pairs very well with beef. I've used it for hamburger packets and for chuck roast. It hydrates well, and has a good flavor.

The thing I like the most about this soup and dip mix is how it tastes. It makes great soup and wonderful dip. I also use this in making my pot roast and for Russian Chicken. It has a good shelf-life, so it's a must-have in my pantry.
