POWERFUL drain cleaner

Tim May 9, 2026

This stuff is no joke... absolutely take the directions seriously when they warn you to wear a face shield and rubber gloves during use. It's literally SULFURIC ACID, and will cause injuries if you don't treat it with the proper respect! That in mind? If you have a clog that nothing else seems to be able to clear, this stuff will literally disintegrate it in short order!

this item helped bring on her back to my family for which I am eternally grateful! there will be 72 virgins waiting for you in heaven if you helped me with this project! The only thing I would say is there should be a backsplash protection because knows we all know I have value to the world unlike my blind sister.

Worked for me

Eric April 30, 2026

Had a stubborn clog. Might have been a very small rag. But not sure. Tried everything except calling a plumber. Used this stuff as directed. Waited 15 minutes and prayed. Bam. Worked. Will definitely buy this again. Sulfuric acid is the way to go.

Great for drains %26 Digging tree holes too!

Michael March 6, 2026

Very effective product! This is highly concentrated sulfuric acid -- HANDLE WITH EXTREME CARE! Take the bottle precautions seriously: the fumes can burn your airways and lungs, and if you get the liquid on you it will eat right thru your skin in a hurry (this is all first-hand knowledge). When you go to Walmart to buy this, take a plastic tub with you and put the bottles into the tub instead of right in your vehicle. Of the 6 bottles I have purchased, 4 were leaking. Leaking acid will eat right thru your vehicle's interior or carpet. It will also eat right thru tables or flooring or anything else you might set it on, including concrete which it will permanently etch. Yes, all first-hand knowledge again. Always pour this drain opener (acid) into standing water, do not pour it into a drain and then add water on top -- if you do it will boil and spatter and potentially geyser up out of the drain like a volcano and spatter over nearby things including you if you're standing there (again, first-hand knowledge). This drain opener is 93% sulfuric acid; that is, it's almost pure acid and as strong as sulfuric acid can be made. It has red dye added so that it can bee seen more easily when poured into standing water (undyed sulfuric acid is naturally clear like water). This product will dissolve just about anything in your sink drain to unclog it. It is also effective at dissolving certain kinds of alkaline rock, such as caliche and limestone, which can come in handy when digging holes for trees.

Works Great! Saves $ on Plumbers

bwuss January 6, 2025

This stuff works great! It's my first go-to to clear a clogged or slow running drain. Be careful, though, because it is very caustic. (Virgin Sulfuric Acid) Be sure to follow directions re: protection of porcelain and stainless. Run cold water in the drain before using. Do not pour through standing water. Use gloves and goggles just in case of any splashing. Use good ventilation, like a fan. (It kind of smells like rotten eggs for a few hours afterwards.) The place I’ve had the greatest success with it is in the bathtub drain. Eats through hair and any organic material. I’m afraid to use it in the toilet due to the fact I think it may etch the finish on the porcelain. Take note! The only problem I’ve ever had with it was when I used it in the kitchen sink, which has a plastic trap. It turned out that it melted a plastic ring in my sink where the pipe connects and nasty sewer-type water flooded under my sink and all over my kitchen floor. Had to call for emergency plumbing repairs. I don’t think it was the product's fault though, because I didn’t strictly follow instructions: I got very impatient with the drain clog, added too much product, plunged it too vigorously, whatever. Just be careful with anything plastic. However, it has saved me a lot of money in clearing my slow-running or clogged bathtub drain, and I have used it many times in place of calling drain clearing service.

Best drain opener I have ever used,

Russell May 4, 2025

This is the best drain opener I have ever used. My kitchen sink gets slow at times and I have tried multiple different drain openers. Most I would have to leave overnight and use more than once to get it fully open. I used liquid lightning and left it for 30 minutes and it was fully open . It doesn't take much either. I would highly recommend.

Make sure NO LYE remaining in bowl

Charles April 12, 2021

Please read*** Extremely effective- had residual lye in bowl trying to clean out- added one pour of product unaware of unflushed lye- immidiate fuming/bubbling reaction- was quite frightening however did not generate enough heat to damage bowl. Everything was fine after 15 minutes w open window. Added remainder of bottle- carefully at first- and even w less than full strength, clog flushed clean after 24 hours, when lye sat for 4-5 days

what a piece of garbage

Hui August 17, 2021

DO NOT USE! recently had a slow drain at my kitchen sink. bought these and pour in, not only it did not open the drain but also made the drain totally clogged, plus the chemical causes a back-up after being flush with cold tap water and the mixture ruined my stainless steel sink. I clean out all the mixture with a pump and disassembled the pipes and open the drain manually with a rigid drain opener. the chemicals corroded my stainless steel sink (turned black) I was up able to polish most of it out but it left some permanently damaged marks that can not be removed by polishing.

Informed that this product may errode drain metal pipes as well as kill beneficially to waste digestion in septic tank, etc. This product in highly concentrated and may require dilution although this is not safe to attempt given water may cause exothermic reaction and cause fire or harm when water is added or when misused. I would recommend looking for relevant safety advice from experts prior to use as well as reading all written instructions on bottle label. See Safety Data Sheet (SDS) online for information on sulfuric acid safe uses. Store in cool, dark place for safety and best quality.
